I think Oda will go full circle in Devil Fruits.

Devil Fruits was the most important aspect in pre-timeskip fights.

Haki was created as a way to balance hax Devil Fruits, while keeping non-devil fruit users still relevant in combat. Therefore it have become the most important aspect in the New world fights.

I think Devil Fruit will make a comeback as the most relevant element in fights next arc.

The reason for me to believe this Is Luffy mastering all haki forms in Wano. Luffy EoS power up will be awakening, and the creativity of Devil fruit mastering will become relevant again.

Another reason for me to believe this Is the Admirals and Blackbeard Pirates portrayal. Both groups are Devil Fruit centric and i don't believe Shanks crew will be antagonistic for too long.

Last reason Is the Devil Fruit lore that will certainly be relevant in the last arcs, probably having an efect in Devil fruit fights.

Yep,not all devil fruits are equal thought...but top tier DF like the Gura and Yami should give a challenge even to haki masters like Luffy.We already got a tast of this with Queen breaking all of Sanji's bones and Coa being ineffective in protecting against this attack!

Also,i think Elbaf Luffy will become a true haki master after fighting Shanks,he is still rough around the corners!The gomu gomu no mi will be useless vs Black Beard.

Oda is also making the Gomu- gomu into some secret ultimate fruit digs into that, it may happen.
