Now, Gunko should have an higher seal than Harald because she is immortal for years now. Not aging at all like the Gorosei.

Imu should have a stronger control over her than he had on Harald thoughts.

Yet she brook out of it herself, Unlike Harald where people claim, Him getting Beaten by Loki made him conscious again.

But again, Gunko never really was hurt by anything.

On top of that both of them remember or met someone they considered precious in their past life or before turning to Deep sea Contracts.

Imu never really addresed Gunko gaining herself even for a moment there.

So did Harald Gain consciousness on his own or Gunko is a special case here? And why?

The narrative with harald is pretty clear. Harald before losing his mind says to loki that he needs to eat the DF and only he with DF can beat him. Harald them changes completely and starts killing his own man and slaughters them. Even gaban and shanks are helpless.

Harald then even tries to eat the DF himself. Loki eats the DF and beats the living crap out of harald. Before this harald wants to test loki's DF powers and even agrees he was feeling and thinking like a god same way how CDs think.

So it was loki beating harald hard enough with his DF and ragnir that his connection to imu was cut.

Both of them held back when someone close to them showed up a moment.

Even Gunko didn't remember shit when she saw Brook initially., it happened out of blue and nothing triggered it except her own memories.

Same case is with harald, he remembered it or Gained consciousness for a while because of Loki, not because of Loki beating thr crap out of him.

The entire narrative was building toward one outcome: Loki with the devil fruit being the only one capable of beating Harald. There’s no ambiguity there. The solution wasn’t sentiment, love, or memory. It was brute force. Loki overpowered him. That’s the rationale Harald himself laid out, and the story followed through on it.

Neither Gunko nor Harald were even possessed by Imu. Gunko just got triggered by a powerful memory, that’s it. Nothing even remotely comparable happened with Harald. Harald had already seen Loki beforehand and still chose to wipe everyone out. When Loki came back, Harald’s disposition didn’t soften or change at all, he immediately attacked him.

Its not a different case i think,both took control of theirselves on their own for a little time. Unless Harald lost his arm and then It regenerated, but maybe the anime will clarify if this happened or not
