Chapter Discussion Did Law Receive a Zenkai Boost on the Rooftop Battle or was he already a High Tier (Commander level)

As the title presents, was Law given a Zenkai Boost for the rooftop battle or was he similar to Zoro in already being at commander level before Wano Arc.

Law's performance on the Rooftop Battle has been rather impressive. Kaido hyped him up at the beginning and even in the recent chapter.

>He was able to Land attacks on Big Mom and Kaido (counter shock and injection shot respectively).
> He was able to dodge several attacks from Kaido and support other fighters in dodging with Shambles.
> He demonstrated a new tech (Curtain) which helped defend him against Kaido's strike.
>He also managed to endure a COC enhanced Bagua from Hybrid Kaido.

I have always placed Law at Commander level, specifically above characters like Cracker and Jack because of his abilities and his portrayal with Urouge.
Pre Dressrosa, Urouge was able to defeat Snack (Yc4) with enough strength to spare to briefly fight Cracker (IIRC) and escape. Urouge 's portrayal was with Killer back in SA when they clashed. This would've placed Urouge close to Yc3 level or YC3.5

Law has been portrayed significantly above Urouge which should make him significantly above YC3.5. Further support of where he falls exactly comes from his fruit abilities which we know has something to do with powerlevels( not being able to move Big Mom and Kaido).
His fruit ignores durability which makes Cracker's biscuits useless, Jack also has no defensive haki feats.

So with having an extreme fight in DR, laying low in Wano and only fighting Hawkings ( without dolls) can one really say that this was enough to make Law perform close to High High tiers? That would be possible of he was a High tier already. It would be illogical if he was (as some considered him to be) Veteran level....hence the Zenkai boost

Discuss.

Doffy's really strong, Dressrosa Law was probably very high veteran level and he's gotten stronger since then.

Probably grew stronger going by Shounen and One Piece knowledge specifically.

He didn't undertake a visible training but he probably at least devised new attacks post DR I presume. And now he probably got a zenkai boost too since he gained new experience.
The only new attack he showed is Curtain.
His strongest attack still remains the same. He still hasn't coated his sword

I thought it's pretty obvious Law was easily higher end Yonko Commander level at least during Dressrosa... Man was holding off Fujitora + Doflamingo for a while, he cuts Fuji meteor with Massive Amputate, escapes Gravity Sword, redirects Fuji meteor with Takt. For anybody to do those things against Admiral attacks, I don't see what else he can be...

Rooftop Law doesn't look that much different from Dressrosa Law, he's literally using the same techniques mostly, with only one new Defensive Technique, which is "Curtain", and doesn't look like it can really compete with attacks such as Gamma Knife, nothing decisive, not something that will bring him up a tier.
It is proven that the 3 Techniques that looked pretty effective against Doflamingo, are also effective against Yonkos, which are: Counter Shock, Injection Shot, and Gamma Knife(nerfed version, since Law haven't seen the anatomical chart of a Dragon, effectiveness equivalent of vet doing surgery to a human). They are def designed by Oda as Boundman KG level or higher type of attacks.

He might move up a few ranks compare to other characters in his general tier, but I don't see a tier change yet.

he got stronger for sure but his ability is troublesome for anyone if he land an attack. since it bypass the toughness of the body. and he can teleport. only a FS user would be able to dodge his attacks.

Every supernova on the rooftop got Zenkai Boost to survive against the Yonko.
Lol cop out

In general major characters get stronger by Shounen and One Piece logic despite not featuring a visible growth

An example was the twist in Enies Lobby, the SHs looking extensively stronger than their Water 7 counterparts even in their bases
That point had been misapplied though. Every major arc before EL had the SHP having extreme diff matches.
Alabasta, Skypiea even Arlong Park. These extreme diff matches are what pushed them to another level.
The reason for their sub par performance during W7 was because they were unsure about Robin's status
