Questions & Mysteries Did Luffy try King Kong Gun and fail to use it with new Haki?

#1
I found it curious that Kaido didn't mention the name of Luffy's attack that he screwed up. We know Luffy had no problem with CoC in base form

But when Luffy was learning "Internal Destruction Haki" we know that he "failed" to use it properly. Hyogoro told him that he's straining himself too much.

I wonder if he tried to incorporate his new Haki into the KKG and failed at it. That's what Kaido seemed to imply, although the move he used wasn't made clear. This is probably the "rampaging villain" segment of the arc, similar to when Doflamingo was going around asking for Luffy's head.

When 895 rolled around, I remember comparing that chapter to when Cracker was defeated, saying they were similar, and voila 896 was the end. This is really giving me "I will finish this with a 1 hit KO" vibes from Dressrosa.

Once he fuses CoC + Internal Destruction CoA with King Kong Gun he will finally finish Kaido off.

Yeah probably a king move.
I'd prefer a different variation be used than standard king kong gun as the base, Bazooka at the minimum.
If Oda is feeling fresh I'd love to see the adv CoC and internal destruction enhanced version of cannon, one of his strongest pre gears moves.

He can't use Adv Armament with G4. So it wasn't KKG.

Was something in the way of Red Roc shit...
It is impossible to damage Kaido with brute force without ryuo, and there were ryuo bubbles this time, vs no ryuo bubbles in the first fight where G4 could not bypass scale defense.
Are you saying he can use barrier ryuo but not internal destruction?

It might of been.

Hope that Oda will reveal us what Luffy was seemingly about to utilize. Perhaps he did indeed utilize it and Kaido was mocking the attack. I made a case about that on a different thread.
