The initial confrontation was two chapters ago though. Quite a bit of stuff happened between then and now. Saturn reached the SHs, tried to kill Robin then left for and reached the Mother Flame room between the bite and the scene we saw this chapter. All the while Vegapunk's recording progressed. Really doubt this is the immediate aftermath of that sequence considering every other event that progressed in real time....
Plus you also have the giant screaming about Venus' sword being able to cut anything. That would only make sense if he actually saw him swing it at something implying some other exchanges happened off screen.
