Speculations Did Oda change his mind about Yamato at the last minute?

all the likely candidates for final strawhat were princesses: vivi (former princess of alabasta, maybe queen now), bonney (perhaps former princess of sorbet kingdom), yamato ("oni princess") and hancock ("snake princess"). oda has to be doing this on purpose. three of the four are therefore diversions.

It seems like Oda always intended for there to be 11 SHs. The dialogue in Dressrosa made it sound like it was almost impossible for Kuzan to be the 10th TC. I think that Oda did plan for the 10th TC to be a brand new character, but changed his mind at the last minute about Yamato joining the crew, so he had to make Kuzan the 10th TC even though it basically contradicts what was said in Dressrosa

Yamato is like Jinbei. They became part of crew but only really joined later on.

Jinbei is more tricky. He said on Fishmen Island that he wanted to join but couldn't. Then at WCI he finally became part of the crew but could only really join them at Wano.

I don't think Yamato will be joining them before Laugh Tale Arc though.

There was a thread here few months ago where OP made a good theory that Yamato, Momo and Scabbards will treat Cross Guild as guest when they visit Wano because Buggy was part of Roger's pirates. While completely ignoring their objective.

I love to see that happening.
