Mythical Hito Hito: model Nika?

No.

Some vague idea that the fruit is actually the Joy Joy Fruit or something along those lines?

I think that’s likely enough.

But again, just cause it’s planned from the beginning doesn’t make an idea good, and neither does coming up with something on the spot.

yeah retcons arent necessarily bad. A retcon led to the most successful anime of all time lol

Not from the start, but then he started using crack.

Seriously though, there is no way he planned it from the start, he made it up as he went. I wouldnt be surprised if he planned it since he started the whole joyboy stuff, but definely not before that.
:zorothink:
It was not to stop ZKK as he is the goddamn author of this shit, if he dont want ZKK then ZKK simply wont happen period, he hardly would need to go out of his way to do it and create a new Luffy form for it.... He planned it for a while, and in my oppion it makes it even worse as it adds nothing to Luffy's dream, if Luffy was a child of prophecy destined to become the next joyboy...Then was he ever realy ever free from his destiny?

I remember reading that the story was always about beating the 4 Emperors but the warlords extended the series, so he probably had a rough idea that rubber alone wouldn't be enough to surpass the strongest characters, however he def didn't think of the exact power he was gonna have.

I'm sure Oda had the idea but not the version we see today. Kind of like how he probably always wanted to introduce a spiritual power, but haki wasn't finalized until later.
