Speculations Did Shanks become a Yonko defeating Loki?

Is it possibile that Loki managed to become a Yonko in his few years of piracy,and Shanks became a Yonko defeating him,and taking his territories?

Seems that way. It's quite possible Loki also had a meaningful territory that was taken over by Shanks.

My preference/headcanon is Shiki one of the original Four Emperor and lost his seat to Shanks in some epic pirate war, but that's not really possible if Shiki disappeared after Impel Down. At least not with him still being an Emperor.

Maybe Shiki's seat was vacated and Shanks and Loki's fight determined who would fill it.

Perhaps not for the sake of having them, but he'd need a place to rest and eat.

Most likely one singular island of great bounty and therefore value.

Many of those weakling allies of Shanks may have been forced to serve Loki in the past.

He only became a Yonkou 6 years ago.
Did they or the term exist before that and if yes, it means Shanks got it from someone.

Someone must have had the title beforehand. Oda doesn't like to change the number of groups whether Shichibukai, Gorosei or Yonko.

It could've been some ex-Rox, but the fact that it happened the same year as Loki being chained is curious.

I dont think it is about territories in this case but I do think that Shanks became known as an Emperor due to defeating Loki.

Loki would have needed territory for the sake of having a reliable place to eat and rest. Can’t be too many of those outside of Elbaph.

I wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of Shanks’ weak allies used to be gophers for Loki that had to pay tribute.

I find it hard to believe Loki was a Yonko, but he could have been a Yonko candidate.

It could have been down to between him and Shanks, and whoever won would become Yonko, and Shanks defeated him.
