luffy is in the state he is in because of the battle not awakening, look at kidd and law there are still relatively okay. Katakuri was a perfect example of why awakening doesn't necessarily take more energy

Katakuri was in his prime. His body and endurance are at their peaks and he could handle that level of combat for an extended period of time.

if wb can use is fruit properly nothing stops him from using its awakening if he knew it
the only reason why wb couldn't have used his awakening are
1. oda never knew about fruit awakening
2. wb never knew awakening even in his prime- it is not something bad since even bigmom and kaido did not have an awakening

Uh not really? Law and Kid’s Awakenings were stated to use a lot of energy and only to be used as last resort so it depends on the Awakening I guess

theres only one thing this thread is teaching us: we have reached a state where we have to continuously ask whether a character has an awakened devil fruit or not despite the story never mentioning so.

endless debate that will go nowhere unless oda or the editors come out to say "X has Y"

and clearly they wont because Oda didnt give that much importance to awakened fruits compared to CoC haki.
