also iwanna ask: if a swordsman use barrier ryou (no physical contact) to cut something, will hardening the sword add to the damage or not?

That circular effect is the answer of this thread.
Something put an aoe stop ( even if short) to the shockwave.

3 swords don't create such wall effect.

It's mostly about the area of the deflection. The trajectory suggests it's probably caused by a barrier being installed.
