Speculations Do Celestial Dragons have the best genes?

#1
Now most of the Celestial Dragons we see in the story are a bunch of lazy disgusting fucks, but the rare few who actually bother to apply themselves are really impressive:

Shanks: One of the Yonko and one of the strongest characters in the series

Doflamingo: YC1 tier warlord (And before someone uses the Cracker comparison just remember Cracker jobbed to Kuzan’s ice while Doffy broke out just fine) who could easily be top tier if he learned ACoC

Bonney: Became a New World pirate captain with a 320 million bounty when she’s still only a child despite spending most of her life in a church

So are CD genes just busted?

On average they seem like great fighters if they tried.

I guess of you made Roger, Garp, Kaido and Big Mom and their families CDs. They'd be stronger but it's only a few elite people in the world above them.

Maybe they have some method to alter lineage factor like Sanji and his brothers to produce superior specimens.

Or maybe they practice eugenics, only the strongest each generation can reproduce. So the bubble dorks we see can't have kids.

But bonny, doffy and shanks is a small sample size. Shanks was the son of a champion and leader of God knights. The equivalent of being the son of LeBron James or some super athlete. Doffy isn't that special. But He's that rare genius in a family of losers.

Yeah.

I've said this before, but CDs have the highest rate of conquerors found amongst them.
If for general OP world it's 1 in several millions, for CDs I think the likelihood is 1 in 50 or 100.

Which makes sense, they are the descendents of the Kings who conquered the world. And there is some genetic component to conquerors haki.

If their current generations weren't spoiled bums, I think we would've seen many strong fighters from their group.
Even with how spoiled they are, they still have 5 confirmed top tiers in Gorosei (but they may the original Kings who obviously weren't bums), 2-3 likely top tiers in holy knights (Garling and maybe a couple more), with the rest of the holy knights being varying Commander level fighters.
That's even ignoring Imu who is likely strongest character ever in the series, and Shanks/Doflamingo who are strong pirate CDs.
Quite insane when you think about it this way.

They are the blood of the people who’ve conquered the entire world.

The Ds and the Celestial Dragons are probably the two sets of bloodlines with the highest potential.
Nah they are products of inbreeding.

Op is not about genes but about will. If you are deadly set on something you want to achieve then you become a monster despite your genes: the main examples are Sabo and Coby, they are sons of common people but have top tier potential.

It the same for the CDs:

Shanks and his father are somewhat outliers among the CDs, Figarland was seen as something exceptional during his peak years but he also somebody well above the other CDs in his old years. Shanks is the same plus he had a life full of adventures (and arguably the current strongest coc in the verse aka the strongest will).

Doffy was dead set on taking revenge plus got gifted an OP df and strong subordinates soon after he started his journey to power. Despite that he reached only YC3 level, the holy knights are most likely already above him. So good but nothing really exceptional.

Bonney power and age is just a mistake by Oda, she is the Goten of One piece now, absurd potential but that will never be realized because that was never in Oda's plan to begin with. If we have a flash forward if 20 years in the future you will have Luffy with godly powers, Zoro as stronger or stronger than Ryuma, Law and Kidd yonko tier and so on but Bonney will still be below yonko tier, at the very best close to it.

OP is literally just as much about lineage as it is about will. As CoC is literally an inherited trait

Counterpoint: Nefertari should be considered a CD lineage and implied to be one of the most powerful- being the guardians of a ancient weapon- and they aren't above normal people (could even be considered fodder).

A couple of strong individuals in a sea of fodders don't make the lineage that special. Considering how much Oda made it clear that what will happen in One Piece is destiny, having some of the best been born in this age is not that weird.

Yet people like Coby managed to use it despite his lineage, Sabo as well has very good chances to unlock it. Then of course the inherited stuff is a disease almost every shounen suffer of and OP is no exception but, luckily, there are still people like Sabo, Coby and others who have not over the top genes.

That's the thing I don't get about the WG. You wanna establish a world government? Fine man. As long as you do a good job. As long as your 5 official ministers do their jobs properly, provide food, technology and infrastructure to their empire.

But the current WG raises one shitstorm after another only to satisfy the ridiculous needs of those inbred fucks in fish glasses.

Why not build a real society with intelligent and capable nobles. Specifically bred to rule, special school to educate them on a very high level and stuff. CoC identification system where they train and push them in youth to find out if they have higher leading potential. Etc etc.

It's like the WG's most endeavored goal is to let those inbred fucks humiliate and abuse common folks. You have won. Also you have immortal leaders that technically should accumulate wisdom, strategy and knowledge on how to lead. Why continue oppression. Just make people full their bellies and be happy and you'll have an empire that lasts millenia.

But then, Saturn goes for one of his most loyal soldiers and:

Are you a retard, Saturn?
:smart:

Are you a retard, Saturn?
Everything the WG does is retarded, specially after the Nika retcon.

They knew about Luffy and his fruit since Alabasta and did nothing. With Kuma, Saturn idea of making him a super soldier without a mind is so stupid that it only worked because Kuma is a ''good boy''. Anyone else would have waited until Bonney was cured and then teleport them both away. Alpha is a bitch that could have avoided Bonney running away if she just let her see the letters, etc.

Oda is doing his best to make them evil. But he went overboard and created something that should never have lasted more than 5 years.
