Do Judge's Clones Have Souls?
I thought this would be an interesting discussion for us to explore. I believe the story actually encourages the reader to look at concepts about the soul. I would even say it goes into the complexities of the trichotomy and dichotomy of the soul.
In Buddhism, and Hinduism, it is believed that lifeforms have different levels of life force energy. Some lifeforms have so little life force energy in them that they aren't even considered alive.
So... Let's look at the concept of clones. Do those things have souls? If they don't have souls, then there's no problem with killing them lol... That's kind of the point of the discussion. Is it okay to kill the clones?
We can also ask the question about the Vegapunk satellites. Do they have souls? Is it okay if they die?
