Imo Kid and Law just don't want BM to go to the rooftop cuz it'll make them look like they're lot weaker than Luffy. Yes, they really are, even they know that but still they just don't want to accept it. They probbaly feel like, if they let BM go to the rooftop, they will have to accept that they're no match for Luffy and never been. Since they don't want to do that, they are giving their best to stop BM. 
But honestly speaking they really act like Luffy's cheerleaders. I'm really glad that I'm not one of those people who thought Luffy =Kidd.

This is pretty obvious lol. It’s not a secret. They hate the character so of course they want him to look bad. Any little trust he shows in his ally and he’s a “cheerleader”. Weird fans just hunt for any chance to call him one and they end up looking desperate. Most people who call him a “cheerleader” are usually the fans who constantly hate on the character.
Funny how no one calls Big Mom a “Kaido cheerleader” when her whole reason of coming to Wano was to kill Luffy and instead she fights Kidd and starts chasing him around off the roof.

Well no, I’m just pointing out how nobody calls her a Kaido cheerleader when she’s done basically the exact same thing Kidd did and gets bashed on for. Came to Wano/Onigashima for a certain target (due to large grudge) and ended up switching targets.
Do you think if the next chapter Big Mom says something like, “There’s no way Strawhat can defeat that monster Kaido.” People would call her a Kaido cheerleader? Be honest. They wouldn’t. They would see that as Big Mom showing respect to her peer, even if she herself has big beef with Luffy. Now let Kidd say, “Luffy will beat Kaido” and he’s instantly a “cheerleader”. See the difference? if Big Mom shows trust in Kaido it’s mutual respect to the fanbase but if Kidd shows trust to his rival Luffy, he’s “cheerleading”.

You are missing one thing, that the more hyped people are for a character, the more disappointed they are, and thus you get the name-calling.
1) Nobody expects anything from Big Mom at this point except the biggest Yanker idiots, nobody feels hyped, has expectations for her and so forth. The entire Kaidou/BM alliance in itself is already a huge embarrassment considering all the words they exchanged before, but nobody cared really because Big Mom, like i said, is the worst character ever. And Kaidou is not much better, you literally have two childish brutes whose words don´t mean anything whatsoever.
At least BM had a somewhat interesting backstory, so far the entire Joy Boy thing seems artificially attached to Kaidou.
Having said that, she still tried to go to the roof for obvious reasons.
2) People, including me, were hyped for Kid, both from an ability standpoint, and his character build-up, especially after Law´s pitiful performance in Dressrosa, Kid was the hopebearer of the Supernova. The fact that he likes and respects Luffy is nothing new, the entire Shabondy dynamic was about that. But he still wanted to target him, after Marineford he articulated it twice, and in his mind his superiority over Luffy was never once in question. But now, it´s like both Kid and Law accept that Luffy is the main dude of the alliance, and they are support. We accepted an obviously inferior version of Blackbeard (less powerful, less build-up, but general dynamic the same), what we got was another Smoker.
