General & Others Do y'all think concept art Axe Nami would have been in the monster trio?

Aint no way zoro has more plot relevance than sanji or specially robin.
You really think Sanji or even Robin are more relevant than Zoro in One piece? I get you may think Robin has a special perk which is important to find the One piece but that doesn't make her more relevant than Zoro in the story. Zoro is the equivalent of Sasuke or Vegeta while Robin is the 2nd female character and Sanji can be Junior or Rock lee.

Robin is directly connected to the most important plot in OP, Sanji's family most likely related to ancient kingdom nobles and north blue sovereign nobility.

What does zoro have that comes close to any of that? He wants to be WSS... good for him, anything else?

Sasuke, vegeta and killua all have their own plots, grievances , dreams and personal family issue to solve that isnt connected to MC of their respective shows.

Zoro has ZERO plot aside from WSS dream and his character is directly connected to luffy.

Zoro is a supporting chatacter while killua, vegeta and sasuke are main ones, pls dont compare those two.

The formula is a little different but the role is the same, deal with it.

In DB and DBZ there is this special dragon who has the ability to make people's wishes come true, entire arcs (like Namek) are based on people going after his incredible powers. Is Shenron, or let's even say Junior, more important than Vegeta? Nope. It is panel time and quality panel time that determine how much important for the story a character is and both Robin and Sanji are below Zoro (even if of course Sanji is way closer). Robin is just one of those straw hats neglected by Oda, he could have give her focus for the poneglyphs in Wano but basically she get nothing, and almost every SH shares that fate.

More panel time with more quality.

Zoro has his WSS dream, I'm not gonna argue against Killua or HxH cause the quality there is above OP but what do Sasuke or Vegeta have above Zoro? They both are obsessed about the main character and exist in function of him, Sasuke had all his brother issues but Kishimoto tried a bit too much until the final clown fiesta where he wanted to become the hokage or start a revolution out of the blue and stuff like that while Vegeta drive is to surpass Goku, there isn't litterally anything else.

Zoro has ZERO plot aside from WSS dream and his character is directly connected to luffy.
Like the Vegeta and Sasuke, he has the WSS which is his little personal plot and that is it. I'm not denying this manga is Luffy piece or that Zoro is something uber exceptional but he falls in the same exact category as other famous shounens 2nd guys.

Zoro is a supporting chatacter while killua, vegeta and sasuke are main ones, pls dont compare those two.
This is more debatable, I give you that. In stories like DBZ or Naruto there are way less characters and also the main cast is smaller, in OP there are almost always the 10 shs as ""protagonists"" in every arc plus a plethora of secondary characters that have to be feed and also a main character who is eating more and more space. So Zoro doesn't get much in comparison to Luffy but his role is underlined in every arc, he is not a main character like Luffy but you can't even put him on the same pedestal as people like Brook, or Robin, who are barely noticeable in an arc (sadly). In the pre time skip it was more evident but it is still there (just look at how he shined in Wano fighting wise). Vegeta or Sasuke can seem way more relevant in the story but in the end for DBZ and Naruto the main characters are Goku and Naruto (maybe in Super Vegeta is getting more attention but I'm not able to read that stuff).

Answer the question: what is Zoro's plot relevance outside of WSS?

Never read super too lol, DBZ to me ends with goku's genki dama against buu, anything else is filler.

Your comment complimented are i said on my previous post: zoro is a supporting character although one with plenty of panel time while vegeta, killua and sasuke are main characters.

He is the pillar of the crew when Luffy screws something or is entirely out of commission, Sanji shares this role too but to a smaller degree. In Water7 he had to lecture Luffy and the crew about what to do, in Thriller bark he saved the situation when Kuma wanted to take Luffy, also prevented Sanji from dying pretty much. He is there in any big fight hyped at almost the same level as Luffy (at least before G5/Wano and an absence of some years due to WCI). It can be viewed as much or not much depending on how much weight you want to give to this stuff but it is not like Sasuke or Vegeta are so different. Sasuke had his small parallel plot in Shippuden to eventually come back to Naruto and be his friend/rival while Vegeta is way more linear, his drive is to surpass Goku and you can predict in every arc that he will get cocky, get beaten by the #villain and ultimately Goku (or Gohan for Cell saga) solves the situation. What is their plot relevance? Is that so different from Zoro?

Agree on that lol, stuff like Super or Boruto are truly atrocious (I didn't like Naruto to begin with so go figure what I may think about Boruto).

Let's try to look at them (Zoro, Sasuke and Vegeta) from another point of view, their character: they are all silent, strong, stoic characters who have a friendship/rivalry with the main character (who is the opposite to them, a sunny individual who makes everybody around him love him). That is a formula as old as the world (or at least Toriyama) used since always by mangakas. Maybe you can argue between 2 or more main characters and first of the supporting characters while there only one main character (the protagonist) but they all have the same role.
