Break Week Do you genuinely believe Oda wouldn’t

#41
The problem with this logic is that is inherently flawed
Mihawk is a dogshit character oda doesnt give one rat ass about. He is written incositent, despite having like only 30 pages, he was seen fighting in marineford, despite delusional people do not acknowledge it, and was never given any special treatmeant in a panel, in fact he was used less hype than characters doffy if you read marineford. You dont even need to make a case for if you are not a sword swalloer

However oda cares about zoro and oda is aware that if its ever made clear Shanks > Mihawk everyone would shit on zoro, more than a human mind kind even imagine

Hm, would Oda wank his favorite character, second only to Luffy, over a "Final obstacle" of a character that he cares about only slightly more than he cares about Usopp (a character who got like 3 frames in Egghead and Elbaf combined)? Nah, that's impossible.

Lmao, the Vista fight is a truly downgrade to Mihawk
Its really not tho from a narrative perspective
I can cut out the whole vista fight and re-read marineford and it still becomes clear Mihawk is not a special deal
Alone the paneling makes this clear, he is not even highlighted specially compared to the other warlords, let alone the big players

Big mom and Franky have sword attacks
:sanmoji:
What’s wrong with Big mom or Franky being swordsmen?

the only reason people have a problem with shanks being a swordsman is because it makes him weaker than mihawk… are you saying you also have problem with Big mom and Franky being weaker than Mihawk too?

anyway, you haven’t answered the question, why did Oda decide that even tho King used a sword for half his fight with Zoro, king never uses named sword attacks… was Oda making a statement?

Okay so Franky is a swordsman now?
:kobeha:
So you’re arguing Franky is more of a swordsman than king too?
:kawak:

Do you think queen is more of a swordsman than king too?

It seems there’s a misunderstanding here, it seems you think that other people see it as an insult to be a swordsman

based on the emojis you’re using in this post, it seems like in upur mind, it’s like an insult of some kind to be a swordsman… I guess because being weaker than Mihawk is insult to you

anyway, queen never uses a named sword attack so according to king’s definition of swordsman, he isn’t a swordsman

Franky does use several named sword attacks so he’s a swordsman… but I guess me saying this is somehow an insult to Franky in your eyes

I think Oda's intention is to place them as equals, but the way Oda writes I can see Shanks getting 10x more wank and causing a bad impression about their strength to the fandom, it would be a bit similar to what happens with Kid and Law.

Arguing that Franky is one but king isn’t is crazy
:Shadow_Unimpressed:
A named attack =/= a sword style
