Character Discussion Do you like Sabo?

#62
Ohk I respect The fanbase who loves Ace. Ace was quite a character himself.
Don't get me wrong I like ace. I just like him less than luffy or sabo. Ace is the one who got himself killed and basically threw away the sacrifices from all of his friends who came to save him but died in the process along with 20 other character flaws ace has that I don't like.

I can understand people who had been accustomed to aces character feeling like sabo was some kind of cheap imitation but other than a couple episodes I saw 20× years ago when I was a kid I've watched the entire series for the first time after 2019. I binged the whole series in a couple months so I met sabo in dressrosa just a couple weeks after I saw ace die at marineford. I didn't have years to become attached to ace as a character.

i will like him if him being an insane person is paid off. in dressrosa he was portrayed as almost unhinged, talking to the fire like it was Ace, and loving to be extremely violent and sadistic talking about how he can "crack a human skull just like an egg". if that wasnt just trying to make him look badass and he actually became a villain because of something like taking dragon's ideology too far (a hody jones generational hatred thing, the fmi lesson of what happens when you get raised in an environment of hate, that would be interesting to me.

if he just like, is really famous and cool and beats up the marines, i don't really care that much. hes ok though. people say he's like a stand-in ace, but his personality is very different, at least, i think he functions as a unique character, but im not sure what his end point is. like i dont think he died in lulusia. if he did that would be very strange. and i dont think hes dying like ace did. and it would be weird if one piece just ended and he was chilling out somewhere
