I thought Zoro blocked Kaku's strongest Rankyaku attack before finished him off with Asura?
Nah he cut it to pieces and it dispersed.
The point is its not just you say asura and it's an attack and that's it.
He can move block in asura which is literally called 9 sword style and has multiple attacks now a different one every time.
People be disingenuous about it.
The first time he had no reason to continue it as he beat kaku. The fight was done.
The second time iirc he actually hit the px0 and then kizaru lasered him out of it. (He was already fucked up before)
And here he said himself before hand he was using all his energy up.

It is a mode, but a mode for a single attack, as it has happened every time Zoro has used it. If it were a free mode Oda would use it together with Luffy's Boundman and Kid's Punk Rotten for example

But of course, fanboys will ignore the facts of the manga to try to raise Zoro's stick in the sky, even if it doesn't make any sense.
Although when we say mode, it should also increase his other stats, not only his attack power. G4 increases defense, speed and attack power, as well as Raid Suit increases defense, speed and attack power. While Asura only increases attack power.

It's like G3, G3 also has different variants, and it only increases attack power.

In One Piece fandom a mode is generally conceived as a self-sufficient state that does not equate an attack. For example a gear is a mode in that existing as self-sufficient independently from any attack being thrown or not.

Said it too.

If you still think ''Asura is a mode'', then present your arguments in here that why its.

Zoro wasted a lot of time with both Kuma in Pre-TS and Kaido in Post-TS without using Asura, if it was a mode, it would be a retarded thing to do to still not use when they were desperate, in chapter 1008 none of their attacks works (includes Zoro with Enma as well) yet Zoro still doesn't use Asura because it's not a mode, it's a one or two-time attack technique that he can use it by giving all of his energy into it for a short time.

It's not something he can constantly use like as if it's a Gear of Luffy, or something like a Raid Suit, it's no different Shishi Sonson. It's a simple attack with CoC.
do you think gear 4 isnt a mode

Given situation especially I am curious on why he never use it during time of situations like for Birdcage or cutting Pica along with Kamazou and Gyukimaro. Why face fainting rather than use Asura to prevent that or saved lives if he has cutting power to stop it? Makes me think it's more of technique than mode given how he use it again and still Kaido isn't faze as much compare if you look at attacks on Luffy with his Gears.

So I think it can only be strong if his skill is up there, not really a power up given he has Enma there and it was still highlighted only compare to the rest of his blades, so I feel it is correct to say it's not a mode, but rather just a move.

Well the issue is that a mode is conceived in Shounen fandom terms here... and the definition is simply "something, specifically a particular non ordinary state that is not an attack and can exist as self sufficient independently from pulling a specific attack" put it this way the chances are high in that Pre TS Zoro had blocked and turned into mist Kaku's Rankyaku kick before pulling his Silver Mist. So, unless he couldn't stop himself earlier or still keep Asura post SM independently from a new attack ,and he was charging the attack all along...

Not really a mode as you be able to use it to fight full power, but instead Oda push it something else as a technique unlike how Luffy uses Gears and Sanji uses DJ. Doesn't make sense why hold back in situations stated above if his power could have stop it, but didn't. Meaning it's more on skill than another stage of power when using Ashura from looks of it.
