Post Wano Bounties were definitely the worse batch of Bounties in the story. Still one of the most hyped aspects of OP, just poorly executed this time.

People meme about it but Oda really treated Kaido/BM like Filler. The only guy in the outside world that has mentioned anything about it was an off comment from Kizaru that wasn't even the focal point of the conversation.

It really sucks. 4 goddamn years in Wano to see the aftermath and it's brushed aside like it's nothing.

Buggys bounty is the most reasonable bounty if he really manage to get mihawk and croco as a follower and create the cross guild but he did not. still his bounty is legit since the marines think he is the founder and mihawk who stronger than yonkos and shanks working for him.

Not really. Bounties are a cheap hype tool that have become almost as meaningless as the power level numbers from Dragon Ball Z.

Bounties stopped making sense since around the Summit War Saga when Luffy had a 300 million bounty for (officially) defeating a Warlord, defeating Rob Lucci and destroying Enies Lobby. Luffy also had on his crew a woman who could translate Poneglyphs and a man who possessed the blueprints for Pluton.

Kidd had an artificially inflated bounty of 315 million for dicking on civilians.

It has only gotten worse since then.

Bounties are purely hype tools so the fanbase can get their dopamine hit with no effort and for some can even make the arc seem better than it actually was. It has no significance to the story other than some arbitrary benchmarks to compare how much closer our "heroes" are to reaching, if not outright surpassing, some of the greatest pirates ever.

However how the cross guild decide how to do a marine bounty will be interesting.
