for me personally I like it, mostly indifferent though. if it's boring I just drop it for awhile and catch up again. I'm not that invested/ obsessed like many people here so can't relate with the overly critical/burn out phenomenon in this site. for better good these people should drop it in my humble opinion. it's your fault for overly invest your time, energy, emotions etc in such thing so don't continue the mistake and waste any time longer, move on people 🙂

I love One Piece, I'm addicted to it and it is the balm for the things I have to deal with in my real life.
I see many people here that got disappointed lately, but this never happened to me because I take the story in the right proportions.

There's a saying in Hebrew: "The more you expect, the more you get let down."

Oda said in SBS'es time and time again that One Piece is just a fun story and people shouldn't take it too seriously.
But here I can see people assuming things, like Wano is supposed to be Zoro's arc like WCI was Sanji's - while Oda never said that - and then they got dissapointed that his story wasn't complete, and things didn't end up the way they expected them to end, or people playing with assumed power levels as if they belonged to the Beasts Pirates who only judge people according to their strength, while that's not even Luffy's approach. Even back at Arlong Park arc, Luffy said that he couldn't cook, or navigate or use a sword or even lie, he could only punch, and that's why he needs his nakama. He does not discriminate the weak from the strong, he sees the benefits of them all.

So my advice to those who enjoy it less - forget your expectations and just flow with the story, you'll enjoy it more.

You can like things and still be disappointed in them. The majority of the saltiest haters are actually people who deeply love OP, or at least they did at one time. They're clinging to hope that it will somehow be good for them again.

I still like it, but I don't think it's the best story in the world. There are certain aspects of it I really like (world-building, characters, themes, parallels, jokes and puns, most fights), but there are parts that really frustrate me (lack of character growth, asspulls, and the whole "chosen one" idea). I will definitely keep reading and watching until the end though-- it's been a part of my life for a long time.

I still like One Piece. It doesn't hype me up and I don't love it as much as I use to. The main reason is the repetitive formula. Also Oda does not respect scaling at all. Kaido was not that strong and Luffy was not that weak. Luffy losing 5 times was clearly overselling it. He keeps selling some BS fake tension, instead of doing an honest to good fight. Which brings me back to that same repetitive formula.

Over the years Oda has drawn things out because he wants the arc to end a certain way. Why else would Kaido son be able to actually Kaido until Luffy gets back yet that same Yamato cannot hold back Greenbull by herself? The fight itself never actually matters only the outcome Oda wants to achieve and most fans are ignorant of this and therefore he ruin his own series. That's why I don't waste my energy arguing about power level.

I'm not even interested in what the SHP are capable of anymore. Usopp and Nami did nothing but run during Wano. I'm mainly interested in lore stuff and how this ends.
