It certainly seems that Kuma will be surviving now. I started to suspect it when Oda reversed the lost leg & chunk of head. Him being carried to the Labophase seals the deal.

It also solves the conundrum on what will happen to Bonney when the Strawhats leave for Elbaf. Now she & Kuma can go their separate ways. Maybe even with Stussy that was also in limbo for what will happen to her.
