Blackbeard doesn’t allow weaklings on his crew. I’m sure Doc Q has insane power and because he’s dying he doesn’t have any care about killing others.

Doc Q’s aesthetic reminds me of Klaus Kinski’s role as Loco in The Great Silence. Loco is a brutal bounty hunter and ends up being quite the ‘death god.’ Kinski is also known for playing villains, one of them being Dracula. Even if I’m wrong about Doc Q’s inspiration, I reccomend checking out The Great Silence. I also suggest not looking at the Wikipedia page or movie reviews if you don’t want the ending to be spoiled. It is a favorite of Tarantino’s if I haven’t convinced you.
