Future Events Does anyone believe that Doffy will get assassinated?

He believes it himself, doesn't he? People talk like it is a given that he will be busted out. I would personally like it if they made him a Celestial Dragon again so he would fight on the WG side.

I think its a safe route for the wg to assassinate doffy as he knows a lot but I don't think he will die, he will probably join the cross guild

On the other hand, Imu, or whoever else, might consider useful to have someone as him at this moment (with all the caos in the world), so he might be released with the condition that he works for them.

There certainly has to be an attempt at least, or else that dialogue would be totally pointless. Him getting assassinated would hype up whoever is the WG agent that does it since they’d have to get past Magellan

Probably not. If he was going to get killed, it would have happened at the end of the Dressrosa arc. I think he will join one of the major faction like Cross Guild, BB or Marines if Akainu plan to take down Imu.

If BB wanted to free Doffy, it would have had to have already happened in-verse since Impel Down is super close to Amazon Lily, which BB was at a few weeks ago. Meaning that if DD was freed by BB, it was completely offscreened and not mentioned

If CG wanted to bust him out, why didn’t they do it while the Marines were busy?

Also, why would they go through all that trouble to free Doffy? They’d have to get through Magellan, who Croc never tried to fight during the ID arc, as well as the rest of the ID forces. Not to mention that Mariejois and Marineford are very close, so they’d likely have to end up dealing with a fleet of Marines, and the Admirals would get involved too. Why have a guaranteed fight with Magellan and almost certainly face the wrath of Admirals just to recruit Doflamingo to your organization? If they valued Doffy that much, why didn’t they do it when the Marines had their forces spread thin, instead choosing to help out Buggy of all people?
