Speculations Does Brook Know Anything About Rocks?

We know very little about Brook’s past, compared to the other Straw Hats and various characters in the series; he was a member of the Rumbar Pirates who traveled with Laboon, explaining his motivation in joining the SHP, but he briefly mentioned being the leader of a battle convoy of a “certain kingdom.” Now, I’m in no way trying to connect that to the Ancient Kingdom, but I believe the skeleton knows more than he’s letting on.

Brook was 38 when he died, which was 52 years before the current storyline. He was stuck in the Florian Triangle for the first five decades of that time, but he had still lived quite a while before dying (the first time). Although the Marines suppressed all information about the crew and their captain 40 years ago, there’s a good chance that the Rocks Pirates could have been active for a while before their defeat/disbandment, and if so, their notoriety must have spread to at least other seafarers, if not the entire world. Since Brook was active even before joining a pirate crew, and by all indications a soldier somewhere who was capable of ably defending a kingdom, there’s a good chance he may have even clashed with Rocks et al.

If you really wanna dive down the rabbit hole, you could speculate that Brook’s kingdom and original allegiance lay somewhere important, such as Mariejois or...God Valley...but I’m not prepared to go that far just yet. My point is just that he must have heard about the most outrageous and notorious pirate crew of his day, and I hope he spills the beans if this ends up being true. Thoughts?

Rocks pirate crew was only active for 2 years.

They formed 40 years ago st Beehive Island and were taken out by Garp and Roger 38 years ago.

Brook remembers Roger from 54 years ago being a world famous Rookie Pirate like Luffy.

Also, Garp, Tsuru and Sengoku joined the marines 56 years ago.

Do we know for sure that they were only active for two years? Just reread the chapter which only dates the God Valley incident (38 years ago), and the wiki says they formed “at some point in the past.” Even if they weren’t sailing together then, all the members (possibly excepting Kaido the apprentice) had become famous in their own right, so Brook could recognize Rocks the man if not Rocks the crew.

Definitely agree, but he has to know more than he’s letting on...at the very least, Garp/Sengoku/Tsuru were active before his isolation, so he would know those big names if not the people they fought.
He remembers Roger being a world fampus Rookie like Luffy 53 years ago, when he sailing with the Rumbar Pirates.

Garp, Sengoku and Tsuru joined the marines 56 years ago.

He is only 13 years older than Roger.

From how it looks, Rocks seem older than Roger and co
I believe he would have been 80+ if he was alive

So yes Brook might have heard of him

I searched this one on google , search show jews list on top.

It would ve hilarious if rocks and brook were former colleague for a kingdom.

If brook was former member of his group and left to rumbar that will be crazy plot.

Before Brook joined the Rumbar Pirates, he was the leader of a battle convoy in a "certain kingdom", where he learned his fencing and many of his attacks received their names. These nicknames of his fencing style were given to him by his previous crew,

We’re running out of time where it could feasibly come into play, but I promise I will lose my entire mind if it comes to light that Brook was somehow involved with Rocks and their demise :brootea:

Brook allegedly knew about stuff we can't even imagine. I doubt he went as far as knowing about WG's "National Treasure" but he was pretty knowledgeable in piracy matters when it came to places, characters and events. He was the one to introduce Zoro to Wano, he had good knowledge of the new world despite never being active part.
