Yes I know this is a Rayleigh situation again with a character who knows everything just hanging around but the stakes have changed in the story., haven’t they?

when Luffy refused to learn everything from Rayleigh it was during the whacky unserious part of the story, right now the fate of the entire fucking world is on the line and it’s the same shit? Again? We cannot go against the spirit of adventure to get a leg up on saving the fucking world? No? It’s not important?

This is the kind of stuff that reminds me that this is a 12 year old boy manga and all the stakes and emotions must be filtered through kid eyes even this late into the story.

(And no, the excuse that Luffy is just childish doesn’t work since even a child understands things like “the end of the world is bad)… (Also the strawhats are always cheating, they always get help and get lucky in this adventure, Roger took 15 years to find one piece from scratch with nowhere near the lucky breaks Luffy gets, but this is “acceptable” cheating while asking Gaban for answers is “unacceptable”)

Revealing it to them is pointless and cheapens the journey to Laugh Tale. Besides, Oden could only read and understand the pomeglyphs, Robin has a whole catalogue of background knowledge regarding the events described on the stones. The conclusion they reach will be different.

Lol so many things wrong with this post. Rayleigh tells the strawhats they might come to a different conclusion than they did meaning it's important to find the treasure first. Second, Luffy doesn't know Gaban is a roger pirate. Third, Luffy still thinks onepiece is a normal treasure which is going to be used for his personal goals not saving the world. I don't think we had a single panel of Luffy actually listening to the Vegapunk speech and second; Luffy has said he's not a hero lol

Just say you're insecure of Gaban because he increases the ceiling of a certain character you hate lmfao :suresure::suresure:

Roger discovered road Poneglyphs EVEN EXISTED before anyone else… and we are led to believe that his fight on God valley has to do with this… So counting Roger beating Rocks, this is more resistance than anything Luffy has overcome

The story was whacky and unserious when we saw CD slaves, and went through whole Ennis Lobby finding out about the attrocities of the WG, the genocide of Ohara?

It's not about Luffy being childish, mfs simply got their own priorities right now, which is the OP. The world was fucked up when they started the journey, Nami/Sanji/etc all know about it. Luffy knew about it based on Sabo/Goa Kingdom incident. They simply don't care and go for their journey helping those who come there way.

That's how all "Good pirates" are. Newgate knew about the history, but did jackshit but sit in the sea. Rayleigh could've told Shanks and Shanks could've done something, but Shanks also likely refused. Zoro could give a monkey's ass about freeing slave, bro focused on just whooping Mihawk.


But it's better Gaban doesn't influence them, since they're going there anyway.

Maybe Rayleigh’s answer is tragic and sad and Luffy will come up with different answer . I think even if Ray and Gaban spoke the truth of the world nothing changes .

I am certain Laugh tale speaks about end of the 3rd world by Nika . I think we are closer to the real truth about OP . Harley text clearly distinguish us about end of current world as well .
