Agree to this thread basically. My view about this:

1. The dragon form is just big but not exceptionally strong at all physically. Killer penetrated it, Zoro cut the scales, Kidd and Law made him scream. While in myths, we all know a dragon is like at the very top of the food chain in fantasy creatures. Kaidou's dragon form should be able to trash all three admirals or WB-Roger in pure physical combat imo, wrapping and crushing everyone like butter by his serpentine bodies, unstoppable tail slams or dragon body slam that everyone must avoid unless they want to be meat porridge, etc, so that they must release their devil fruit haxxes and projectiles to go around Kaidou's fruit physicals. Thats what i feel.

2. His abilities are not unique at all. We have seen fire everytime, lightning everytime...and now elemental control again for the 100th time? What the heck, Crocodile's and Viola's abilities are 100 times more unique than Kaidou's elemental control. WSC should have original powers, not generic. Why doesn't Oda give Kaidou Ton Ton no Mi powers in the form of dragon fruit? Kaidou can go increase his attack mass to 100 Gigatons and for me...even such a simple concept will be more original compared to seeing lightning and fire attacks for the umpteenth time lol

I mean i exactly agree about your take that dark matter stuff being much more original (and powerful) than what Kaidou is right now, i ended having hopium about that as canon material instead of what's actually happening in the manga itself

First, the CP-0 goon brought up the Akuma Zoan out of absolutely nowhere (literally nothing in the plot was relevant to this fruit) but the CP-0 guy brings up this fruit to mention he is glad no one has it. Out of literally nowhere.

Linlin's power should also have not been limited by fear, I think, but by CoC. Basically, if you have no Conqueror's haki and she can sense you directly, she can remove your soul. This makes only CoC/ACoC users can fight Linlin and survive. Heck, make it so only black blade users and ACoA/ACoC coating users can make you interact with Kaido's DM without instantly getting reduced to atoms. This would have put the Yonkos far above what we got.

Kaido's df is as good as any df. It gives the most boosts of any df and even leaks over into other df abilities:
- regen almost as good as macro
- grants wind lightning and flame abilities
- grants flight
- high durability some of the best in verse
- along with the all stats up
And we still don't know if kaido will do a awakening with the df. The base powers of the df are as good as any df power. Only downside of the df is it doesn't just grant massive power like the gura or magu or the hax of the ope or yami.

I agree, but the dragon cloud ability to lift the island of Onigashima was actually impressive. It’s not very useful in combat but still impressive nonetheless. That’s the kind of thing I expect from people at the top, so he’s better than Big Mom in that regard.

--Also kaido's hybrid is normal is size and doesn't seem to boost his offense insanely

kaido is the strongest creature in 1vs1 fight always bet on kaido . narrator never say he is the strongest zoan or top df fruit
but i agree with you kaido df is dissapointing maybe because he relied on his haki and so far his fight is more brute strenght or berseker type warrior
dragon form only give enemy bigger target and his defense can be penetrated but his hybird is not bad although his attack variation is underwhelming
dunno why kaido remind me of Godrick the Grafted especially hybird form is godrick 2nd phase

His devil fruit is still better than Luffy's and everyone else's. Luffy's Gear 5 uses haki to from the jump. Read chapter 945. Kaido cannot be hurt WITHOUT ADVANCED Haki due to his fruit.

The thing is kaido is competing with top tiers and strongest DFs though and most of them will have haki to hurt him

And Kaido defense also comes from his oni race

Not a fan of Kaido’s fruit, then again I’m not a fan of any zoan fruit.

Logias and paramecias are much better than zoans.

Kaido's fruit is shit. Its actually quite weak compared to gura gura, magu magu etc. Everyone can dodge or block boro breath or the wind scythes. Its also possible to hurt him despite having dragon scales. The only broken ability I have seen so far is lifting an island, but its probably not very useful in actual combat. Even Big Mom's fruit gives her a broken ability to heal herself. Kaido's fruit does nothing close to that.

But that only makes Kaido more impressive overall. He is a haki reliant fighter and achieved the WSC fame without a great fruit. Imagine him with Marco's fruit, he will be the strongest in the history.

A large part of Kaido’s amazing durability and endurance likely comes from his DF
