For the people that missed, Zoro only said King's defense drops only a little when the flame is off, so it's mostly from his race and of course, his zoan fruit plays a role too. Besides, Lunarian toughness isn't just about durability. VP was conducting endurance tests on King, meaning the dominant attribute about them is endurance, not just durability.

In base form, from his race.
In hybrid, from whichever is tougher.
Albino the King encyclopedia. :myman:
Tbf like king like marco sadly doesn't seem to have a straight up hybrid form. Tho they can use their fruits on specific sports of their body
And based on what we've seen from the other dinos it does seem to effect them in base aswell. Kinda how kaido kinda keeps his dragon toughness in base
What would Dragon Damnation do to your average ancient zoan like Queen or Jack? The answer is fuck them up real bad
Which is why the bulk of durability comes from his natural toughness.
The attack also fucked up king

King has no special "flame off" durability. He's just as durable as normal person flame off

His DF durability only comes when he transforms, which he basically never was vs Pinzoro

You people make up too much. Since when did Zoans have their toughness in base? Obviously it’s his Lunarian genes.

Only two zoans are an exception to my statement and they are both Mythical: Marco who automatically heals with Phoenix Fire even in human form and Luffy who’s body is permanently rubber

That doesn't make sense as every single king of hell attack is above Ashura as it was releasing much more durability yet Kaido was taking a lot more damage from Ashura than king did from any attack.

I think King can eat at least 1000 beef bursts even flame off before he slows down a little.

I think he only has the zoan durability when he’s using his zoan forms but when the flames go on it feels like it overwrites other durability’s, I don’t really get the feeling it stacks.

He's normally more durable than the average character, to what extent is up for debate but Page1 ain't tanking an Ultra Tiger Hunt to the head that's for sure.

Zoro never said this lol, he said "he can move a little faster but his defensive ability drops in response", no indication of how much his durability drops by.

Narratively it makes zero sense for it to be a small difference, Zoro outright states there's zero point in attacking while King's flame is active but then one shots him when it isn't, meaning the difference must be astronomical.

Why would it not make sense for it to drop only a little when it's done in exchange for only a little increase in speed? Losing the defense completely for a little speed? Is the trade-off even fair here? It makes no sense for the defense to drop anything more than a little if anything, which is what I was implying.

The only thing we know is Zoro knows his attacks work when the flame is off, and he used one of the strongest attacks we have seen in his second strongest mode to one-shot him, so there's no need to act like it became an easy job as soon the flames go off.

Given that King borderline speed blitzes Zoro after doing it, yes, contrary to what Zoro himself said

Anyway, Zoro never said his durability drops by a little, you were wrong:kayneshrug:
