Powers & Abilities Does Loki & Ragnir both have devil fruits? Wouldn’t this be the first time we’ve seen that if so?

Considering Loki's direct contact with seastone, I would expect a DF powered hammer to lose its powers.

On the other hand, I don't expect the (currently living) giants to be so advanced in technology to build a weapon with such powers.

So the hammer might dive into the sword category of metal objects with distinct effects. But even there, bringing lightning would be really far fetched. Scientifically speaking, swords only vary in their hardness (skill of the swordsmith and the choice of metal) and in their haki conduction ability. Aluminum conducts heat quicker than iron. Things as that. But no basic swordsmithing of metal will bring lightning from the sky.

It's also black. So it might be a Black Blade/Hammer. But even there, I don't see a special connection of haki to lightning.

Most reasonable answer is Oda asspulling the effect that DF powered items are not affected by seastone at all. Even though it's crap, in-world scientifically.

I don’t think Loki being connected to seastone stops the hammer from having a fruit. Smokers weapon is imbued with seastone and he still uses his logia.

It's possible but I worry that it might make Loki too broken especially since he's highly likely to have a Mythical Zoan in the form of Fenrir or Jormungandr
I don’t think so considering BB has two known fruits that are absolutely busted and possibly a third.

I mean true that but he's the final villain or at least the second final villain and he's also Luffy's biggest rival

I think that makes it more plausible. For example, I feel like the Kaido fight prepared Luffy to deal with Akainu who uses magma, he learned to counter that. So I wouldn’t be suprised if Loki prepares him to fight someone with multiple fruits like BB. Just my thoughts.

Thank you for that one. I had forgotten about that.
It's ridiculous though.

Loki is connected to seastone not through direct skin contact. It's an indirect connection with his boot in between. If the boot conducts the sea stone effect, why does a metal stick suddenly not? What's the threshold? Is there one? Is smoker's logia and haki 5% weaker with his weapon in his hand? Or 7%? What about the length? Or material of the object in between? Could DF users just use a full body lunarian or alabastian cow skin suit to neglect the seastone ability entirely? Tons of unanswered questions. The answer is asspull for convenience.

I am kind of a fantasy nerd. If OP were a phantasy book, it would've been teared apart by it's fandom.

Shit consistency but we're used to it with OP or manga in general.

All of your points are valid, Oda leaves loop holes like that a lot. For example, why does seastone stop you from using haki?

It's possible. But, I'm not 100% sure.

Loki almost definitely has a Devil Fruit of his own. He said he wants the last Seastone Shackle off his leg. I doubt he'd care if it wasn't weakening him.

The real question is Ragnir. Ragnir could have a Devil Fruit. The big problem is, the most obvious Devil Fruit it could have is the Lightning Fruit...and Enel already has that. So, it can't be that. It can't even be a Clone-Fruit from Vegapunk, because Vegapunk never figured out how to copy Logias.

So, if it was a Devil Fruit, what could it be? Well...we saw when Ragnir struck the tree it was eventually struck by lightning. So, maybe it's some sort of "Bad Luck" or "Disaster Magnet" Fruit? Something that when you hit the hammer on something, it causes random bad things to happen to what you hit? Either draining the luck out of something, or giving it bad luck?

Or maybe it just IS a Lightening Rod Fruit. And when you hit something you turn it into a lightening rod, too. I doubt that. Because we only saw lightening hit the tree once. If Yggdrasil was a lightening rod now, a LOT more lightening would be constantly hitting the tree.

But, we have seen odd technology in Elbaph, too. Like the Sunstone Painters. And the scene of the lightning hitting Yggdrasil just so happens to look a LOT like "Uranos" firing a bolt of lightning at the Giant Tree from the Chapter 1138 Mural. So, I feel like that's implying a possible connection between Ragnir and "Uranos". Meaning it could be Ancient Technology of some sort. And it's suspected that King Harald was making deals with the World Government without Elbaph knowing it. Maybe Imu gave King Harald this special hammer that works like a miniature "Uranos" as a gift?

The jury's still out. It could go either way in my eyes. I'm leaning slightly more towards it being Ancient Tech, due to the possible connections to Uranos. But, we haven't really seen enough to really make a judgement call.

All fair points I do agree that Loki has a fruit. But he could also be complaining that the seastone is stopping him from using haki. If the giants just wanted to stop a devil fruit on shackle is more than enough. Also if Ragnir is that big of an issue, why would you leave next to him?

since he's highly likely to have a Mythical Zoan in the form of Fenrir or Jormungandr
Wouldn't it be off since Oda made the Elbaf kids draw those monsters separate from Loki?

The entirety of Elbaf knows that Loki killed his father and stole the DF he had

If that DF he ate was really Fenrir or Jormungandr, then the kids would simply draw Loki in that form or associate him with it, they have no reason to draw them as separate beings, yet they did...

This only means the DF that Loki ate is NEITHER of those two

It could just be Oda being a hack as per usual or the kids not really knowing about what specific power it is that Loki stole
I dunno
