Did the story address this the way you put it ? It did not. The story treated it as a joke. I treat it as the story treated it.

That’s not who he is. He knocked out big mom because of his food. She was incapacitated longer than any Yonko has been to date and literally saved the straw hats due to that cake.

This is a series about overcoming enemies not killing. Sanji proved he’s the greatest chef in the world by giving big mom better food than she’s ever had.

All he proved to a lot of people is that he can’t seize a golden opportunity to defeat a Yonko without having to use bazooka launchers or gather 15 of the strongest people in the world, I don’t understand why you view that as a point of pride. Again, what did he learn over the timeskip if not how to use food as both a restorative AND a weapon, depending on who’s eating?? You wanna talk about saving the Straw Hats?? How about doing something that ensures they don’t have to face Linlin AND Kaido at the same time??
