Questions & Mysteries Does the Red Line precede the void century or not?

General consensus is that Luffy will break the Red Line at Marijoa and thereby create the All Blue. The premise is that the Red Line is unnatural and possibly a product of the void century.

But is the Red Line really an unnatural part of OP Earth? We know Lunarians used to live on top of the Red Line before Marijoa. Since CDs founded the current Marijoa at or after the void century, that means Red Line existed before the void century and was under Lunarian occupation.

So, may be Red Line is a natural part of OP World and All Blue has nothing to do with it.

Not sure how anyone can ever think the Red Line is unnatural. It's the biggest landmass in the world of OP, with islands being mere dots in comparison to it. How can such a landmass be unnatural?

It's like declaring our continents to be unnatural landmasses. As for the whole "Break the Red Line", how would destroying our continents impact our world? It's basically calling for an apocalypse. If Luffy and co are gonna bring an apocalypse to a world with already fucked up islands and weather, then gg.

Can't even imagine how bad the tsunamis would be.

The Calm Belt is a bigger issue for travel than the Red Line is for the normal One Piece world person.

Yeah that's something that confused me too

Maybe the Red Line already existed but it isn't the same as the Red Line we know today?

True. But since people of OP World (at least significant number of people in the Grand Line) are used to devastating weather and tsunamis (e.g aqua lagna, Knock up stream), they would be less damaged by red line below Marijoa getting destroyed. I really doubt Luffy can destroy all of Red Line. He should only be able to destroy the part that holds Marijoa. That should also be enough to make the 4 seas meet.

However, I still think Red Line existed before Void century and therefore All Blue shouldn’t be found through it.

Unless the part of Red Line that holds Marijoa is the only unnatural part.

I simply see no reason to destroy it though lol.

All they need to do is create a giant tunnel that clears the way for ships to cross through, which would be much easier than trying to destroy a mountain that's thousands of meters in the air and hundreds of mile wide.

For All Blue?

You still have the calm belt, which seperates the Grandline from rest of the blues.
The Calm belt actually doesn't separate the seas. It just separate two seas for humans who are still reliant on wind blowing to cross the ocean and can't take on the sea kings. Dr. Vegapunk's paddle-ships are already able to cross the calm belt safely.

Sanji thinks that All Blue will have the most delicious fish ever. Do you think Calm belt has such a place?

", said to be the only place in the world where the North Blue, South Blue, East Blue, and West Blue seas meet. "

All Blue is where the water of the 4 oceans meets. The Calm Belts, which are two different ocean belts from the other 4 Oceans prevent that. As the Grandline itself is recognized as a different ocean.

Idk, I'm curious how Oda goes about the All blues, based on what we know I can't think of any place in the world where the 4 Oceans meet. Maybe there's a sea current or something underwater in the grandline stemming from the 4 oceans and leading to a certain location, that's possible.

Good question. We are probably already foreshadowing another inconsistent on One Piece history.

For All Blue myths to exist they are probably something already seen before. Or maybe is just a creative myth someone told over generations.

Yeah and Judges ships can cross the Red Line so nothing is separated at all, also there is a hole under the red line

Was it ever explained how Craig returned to East Blue? Or how people in general do so?

Pretty obvious that Poseidon control over the Sea Kings is a thing made to undo the Calm Belt.

Could even be that the Poseidon from the void century was behind the creation of it

It must have been created during or before the take over by Imu. I am sure Imu was leading the revolution.

Why would there be a giant wall apart from separating people? It was created to keep the CDs above the rest as a way to say they are superior.

Here's another reason it was created. We see Imu wants the motherflame after seeing the destruction of Luluzia. Clearly he wants to eliminate more islands, just like how Enel wants to destroy sky Islands.

Good question
Maybe it existed but wasn't connected or it didn't encompass the whole world.
The Red Line might have been a long stretch of land and later on through shenanigans got to the point where it went all around the world

Red line was created by lily using the "god of earth" mythical zoan, she did it after spreading all poneglyphs across the globe.

Source? Gohdroger.
