Common sense says that in 20 years time he would get stronger, especially since he is part of the second Yonko wave with Shanks, and not first with Whitebeard and Big Mom. Like, we know that Big Mom, Whitebeard and Shiki were the first big shots of the NW after Rogers death.

Let's say that we both don't know shit, and 3 of his losses happened before Oden, and the other 3 happened after Oden.
He got captured 9 times before Oden, and 9 times after Oden.
That's the most unbiased way to look at it, we just spread them out cuz we don't have evidence that more happened before or after.
Obviously that is still not convenient for your narrative, but your narrative was not about being as objective as possible in the first place
