General & Others Doesn’t Sanji win either way?

For some weird “inexplicable” reason many seem against the idea of scopper gaban ever becoming relevant to the story. As if doing so would somehow take away from the story
If we’re being honest a lot of that comes from people associating him with Sanji due to him being Roger’s number three after Rayleigh. Some try and fake reflect that that’s not the reason but still. All that despite the fact they’re different characters with different roles in the story and different dynamics within their crews. Surprisingly sanji queen gaban roux etc ate all different characters. Same way zoro king Rayleigh and beckman are different characters

At the same time if we using the logic that people use against gaban can’t that also be used against shiki. Him being the third strongest after whitebeard
Main difference story wise is one is going to give us more rocks lore and the other more roger. Both things other characters are technically also able to do either way

You are 100% right, the people who wanted Scopper to be irrelevant are doing so only because it’s obvious that he’s the Sanji of the Roger Pirates. Now because it’s likely that Scopper is going to be relevant they’ve moved the posts to say that Jimbei or Nami are more reflective of Scopper, despite repeatedly clowning Sanji fans for Scopper lack of relevance.

My reasoning for this not to be Gaban is so simple...

The guy who drank with Corcus matches Shiki. Shiki was hinted at Wano even his face was shown. So logically for me that this guy should be Shiki.

As for Gaban i have no clue how can he have any relation to this guy.

But there is 1 character "Marked by flame" who we have no clue about.. So maybe we can throw in Gaban as a candidate.

I'd have no probs if it turns out to be Gaban. At least we'd see some more of the Roger pirate remnants.
Seeing someone who's a bit more antagonistic towards the SHP would just he more interesting.

What in the everlivingfuck makes people equate Sanji to Scopper Gaban? There is not a single connection between the characters.
People shit on Scopper because he is irrelevant and should remain so.
The only reason that the guy in Wano is Gaban and not Shiki is because after Strong World the interaction with Shiki would make even less sense than with Scopper.

I don't mind either of them showing up because i love lore. But this guy if it turns out to be Gaban then Oda purposefully misled us lol.. As i mentioned before the appearance/outfit even the hair color/style matches that of Shiki.. The Wano hint and his face being shown are also an indicator or at least a nod that Oda is interested in him.

Fair but him being friends with crocus and shanks could also lead the other way. Plus the guy seems to be missing the whole ship wheel in his head. At the same time like you said the style definitely does scream shiki. Plus the crazy animal from strong world. The hair could match either since shiki had a whole mane. The blond could potentially be an accident since that happens a lot in the colored manga

Tho again tbh I do really want to see both characters eventually return. Who ever it ends up being I hope we see the other soon too
