We’ve literally only ever heard talk of how the great powers compare to each other by the Gorosei and Garp, and yet you’re acting like Garp’s statement is common knowledge for Tina the bartender on Bumfuck Island lol. Like Sam the farmer walks into the bar for a drink and then he and Tina start comparing the strength of world powers like experts or some shit lmfao.

I think this once again just reinforces the point that random citizens around the OP world know literally nothing about how the great powers work, and perhaps you shouldn’t act like rumor, hearsay, and ramblings from random country bumpkins are reliable ways to power scale? Lol

In my opinion, given the fact that BB was the man nearest to the OP, the WSM (believed) and with a power capable of destroying the world, those panels are justified. The world population had seen the death of a legend with the power of destroying the world and reacted accordingly. In the real world, we celebrate for far less.

And garp and roger are canonically hyper relative, with shiki being stated to be equals to roger and rocks being stated to be rogers strongest adversary. If you want to say sengoku couldn’t go “toe to toe” with roger then whatever, but he was still on his level
