Judge blackmailed Sanji, not BM. Germa are weak compared to the BM pirates. If Sanji does not have enough faith in Luffy to defend against germa then idk what hes even doing on the ship anymore.
It gets worse though. Sanji did not save anyone from shit. Facing and defeating BM was the plan all along. That means no matter what Sanji does the confrontation with this Yonko would have happened down the line anyways.
Why is Sanji trying to avoid it? Does he not trust Luffy or what? Pathetic display.
In the end it made things worse and the SHP + allies had to face 2 Yonko at the same time instead of just 1.
Zeff and the rest of the crew are also seasoned pirates. Zeff saved Sanjis life. He would not want Sanji to throw it away on Zeffs behalf.
Yet Sanji goes ahead and tries to do it anyways.
The only redeeming factor is that the BM Canter was right infront of the Sunny in which case you can claim that Sanji had no way of escaping initial confrontation. In comes the Coup de Burst plothole. Chopper already used it without Franky, then against BM he claims that he can not use it. The crude explanation given is that he does not know how to refuel it (lmao, pouring cola into a tank...). I will not argue about this part. Its fine for me if you claim that the initial confrontation was unavoidable. It does not erase or justify Sanjis other sutpid actions.
Sorry that you had to witness this shitshow of an arc. I have no clue why Oda tried so hard to make Sanji a pathetic piece of garbage. The entire story would have moved along entirely without WCI.
By excusing his behavior you are making WCI even worse for Sanji. Your best course of action is denying that the arc ever happened.
Lucky for you the arc is so redundant and forgettable except for getting the RP.
