Many people thought that Gaban would be a totally irrelevant footnote character because he had no presence in the story for a while. I think people may be making the same mistake with Kong. Oda will treat all of his Old Legends with respect

I think he's close in age to Bumgoku. With a good mythical zoan it shouldn't be a problem.

Hes a character Oda had planned pre-chapter 100, its a given he's gonna be powerful. Fleet Admiral since pre Chapter 100 was established as not being the top guy for the WG military.

Lord Kong is the only one allowed to be put above Akainu. He's the Godfather of Absolute justice and was deemed important enough to get a special promotion on top of the FA position.

Because of his position in the World Government, I hope Kong will be an abyss walker which will make his age irrelevant.

I hope Oda will treat him better than he treated Sentomaru tho (which I have a lot of hope).

In all honesty he's probably he's the ciper pol version of what Magellan was to impel down. Though since he was a former fleet admiral I wouldn't underestimate him.
