I think DJ is in essence the same as his normal move set, style wise.
But it coincided with an overall downward spiral in fight coreography which now focuses on just finishers or named attacks looking great while the rest of the fight is meh

It hasn't changed much,Sanji just improved all his base stats,haki and that allowed him to produce hotter flames(ifrit j.).

Diable Jambe is cool but Oda uses it just straight forward.

Although Ifrit Jambe returned a little of Sanji's old fighting syle.

It’s not much of a change really. The RS was the only thing to be a big change to Sanji’s fighting style and that’s gone (for now).

Not a big fan of IJ though, it was far too similar to DJ and didn’t have any impact on me when it was used.

I like Diable Jambe. The problem has been that Sanji doesn't do normal kicks anymore, it's just Diable Jambe and it was kind of meeh

It was a very good change from the relatively simple fighting style. It is something unique to him and I like that. It differentiates him from Luffy and Zoro. Luffy is devil fruit and haki, Zoro is swords and haki, Sanji has genetic mods and haki.

Honestly, DJ was a mistake. It ruins the aesthetic of his fight. I'd rather have Sanji beating people's asses with simple kicks than spamming fire kicks. DJ would have fits better as an finisher rather than as a moveset.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who has a problem with how Sanji uses Diable Jambe like it’s haki. Went from being an insanely cool finisher to being casual kicks with glowy effect.

Zoro didn’t start spamming Asura and Luffy still fights just the same even with gears, that still have weight behind them unlike Diable Jambe. Luffy pulling out a G3 attack you know it’s about to smash, can’t say the same for when Sanji lights his legs on fire…

Visually he’s still stunning while in action but quality has dropped

Eh, well I think black leg literally just being black legs is more elegant. But the fight with Jabra was fucking great and the genie can't go back in the bottle after something like that for a relatively underpowered character.

Though I do wish Oda thought the power up through a little better. Does it hurt him? Why doesn't he need friction when he originally did, etc

Also, as a fan of Barry Allen since childhood, I thought Sanji's "element" will be lightning/thunder/electricity, since you know, both are running, speed, and science themed. So personally I'm always neutral to DJ/IJ.
Sanji got this just to capitalize on the coolness of fire from the super popular Ace in the preTS.

Also, as a fan of Barry Allen since childhood, I thought Sanji's "element" will be lightning/thunder/electricity, since you know, both are running, speed, and science themed. So personally I'm always neutral to DJ/IJ.
Sanji got this just to capitalize on the coolness of fire from the super popular Ace in the preTS.

That’s not even remotely true… Ace’s popularity only became big during Marineford Saga which started after Enies Lobby.

Oda just gives everyone and their momma fire abilities if you haven’t noticed yet.

I like the Fire kicks idea but i hate the fact that everybody and their mom can use Fire like make it a litlle more unique, at least blue flames is unique but eh.... for now its meh until it gets better feats

I feel like without DJ choreography is better but with DJ/IJ its like focuses more on fire and its effect rather than choreography i might be wrong tho
