Chapter Discussion DR Army Has Not Been Defeated

Will have to wait for official translation for confirmation but it seems from the dialogue that the DR Army has not been defeated. It is good since that would just kill the tension (it already has to some extent) it was built through the flashback via the Davy family and Rocks himself and it would have been so unsatisfying to have them defeated offscreen like that.

The other thing is that why is the giant warrior facing away from the DR army warrior and talking like that, feel weird? Did the spoilers not mention that the DR Army was still attacking the village?

Maybe I speedread but I thought Luffy's comment to Zoro that the area is probably safe now that he's there meant the DR giant pirates were out of the game

Luffy said this when he blocked the thorns
Meaning, logicly, if some one shows up zoro is there to protect the kids
Not that he defeated anyone
That doesnt even make sense since we know Killingham is not defeated and he can respawn MMAs

Yeah, they are still around and probably all of them.
Just temporarily set back due to injuries which will regenerate.
