I wasn't sure about making a thread about this because it is most likely just an easteregg from Oda.

But anyway, I was randomly looking at some one-piece color spreads, and came across this.

Apparently, in chapter 153, there are some books in Dr. Kurehas' Bookshelf that made me stop for a moment there.



Harry Potter? Okay, we got some references to it throughout the story, but a book titled "One Piece" ?

Now looking back at this iconic panel after so many years and everything we have learned during the Elbaf/Godvalley flashback this hits differently. It has some ominous vibe to it.

What did she mean by the will of D?

Does she know about it?

Could there be a correlation between some secret knowledge that Dr. Kureha has and the Blackbeards' attack on Drum Island? We never really learned why they came there.

I remember when Don Krieg really badly wanted Zefs journal of the Grand Line. Maybe Blackbeard was after something similar? As we all know, knowledge is power.

But as I mentioned in the beginning, these could just be some Easter Eggs. Obviously, we will learn more about Dr. Kureha sooner or later, especially about her age. Perhaps Blackbeard also just heard about her age and was intrigued to find out more.


Or, she is some secret D. reincarnation herself, and already went to Laughtale. (Secretly)

Agree. She definitely knows something. I mean she was a full-grown adult even 100+ years ago where Rocks, Roger, and Garp, who shaped their Eras, weren't even born yet.

There are so many time periods in the story besides the Void century, that are very interesting. What did Dr. Kureha's childhood look like? Who did she grew up with? When did she start to take an interest in medicine / curing people etc? What places did she travel to? You can stretch this indefinitely. Sadly, we probably won't see it all. It would be too much now that we are in the Final Saga.

But also just the running gag with her asking everyone if they want to know her "secret" to youth, and people refuse to want to know it.



Yes Oda ! I want to know it. I think he will keep the reveal for the right time.
