He is weaker than Mystic Gohan who seems to have SSB Goku potential going by their clash.

Piccolo is probably still weaker than even SSG cause he was heavily outmatched by Gohan later.

I don't see many differences.

The major difference is with Beerus' power fundamentally, since he is much stronger than Jiren while in the anime at least a bit weaker.
