Speculations Dragon Caring About Cobra doesn't make sense

#1
Dragon apparently said he refuses to forgive Sabo if he truly killed Cobra

The problem with this is, when did Dragon start caring about Cobra in the first place?

We as readers know that Cobra is a "good" leader but Dragon isn't a reader. He's a character who has seen world Leaders be disgusting individuals and has every reason to distrust all of them.

It's not like the Revo army has some kind of No Kill Policy, Sabo even brags about how much he loves to crack skulls open yet Cobra is a red line?

You can argue that it's possible for Dragon and Cobra to have had ties. But nothing in the manga proves that, Cobra even trusted crocodile so he seemed very Naive in regards to the World Government, otherwise he wouldn't have bothered demanding a meeting with the Gorosei to ask about the Void Century since he should have known it would just end up with them cussing him out for coming from a "traitor" family . All of this tells me he likely viewed Dragon as a terrorist like the average OP World Leader

This whole drama seems pretty weird to me, how would Dragon know that Sabo didn't have a good reason to kill him in case he did kill him?

It would be a set off for his goals, Sabo making fame for the wrong reasons entierely, at least not the death of an enemy

Why would Dragon even believe the news in the first place of Sabo killing Cobra. Dragon all of a sudden is going to start believing propaganda from the same people he declared war with. Dragon's line should have been, "This is fake news, get a search and rescue team for Sabo right away. Also, try to find the truth of who killed Cobra."

Dragon knows Luffy defeated croc and saved alabasta. More than likely also knows that cobra is a good leader

That was his first reaction when he read the news

I think this is just more about Dragon having a bottom moral line and that's them not assassinating world leaders. Their enemy is the Celestial Dragons, and assassinating world leaders such as Cobra gives the WG the ammunition to tell its member countries that the Revolutionaries are a terrorist organization who will come after them, as opposed to the Revolutionaries being a justified group attempting to getting rid of a corrupt noble class and tyrannical government.

Dragon is against Celestial Dragons, not World Kingdoms

They are supposed to dethrone WG, but if they make the Kingdoms hate them too then they will be seen as Criminals even if CDs are no more

Dragon wanna be seen as a Revo, not a Pirate

Cobra wasn't naive, Crocodile had literally everyone fooled.

And the Nefertari family didn't leave the country. I'm not surprised if maybe Dragon looked into that

I don't think Dragon is so shallow to paint ALL the kings in the world in tge same light. There are good apples in that bunch and Cobra was one of them. A man with the info system like him has to know that

The revolutionary army are supposed to be for the people.

It destroys their reputation if the Second in Command, kills one of the rare Kings who is actually beloved by his people.
His assassination is what triggered worldwide revolution and much more people now showing sympathy to the Revos cause tho.

Dragon himself supported insurgents against WG allied Kings.

Why should he have any issue of it when the benefits of it clearly outweigh any negative

Dragon is just low-key jealous Sabo surpassed him in fame

The man who has kept himself hidden in the shadows for decades, and not trying to garner any type of spotlight, is jealous cause Sabo became famous? You can't be serious.....

People didn't even know Dragon's full name until Sengoku revealed it to the World during Marineford. That man gives no fucks about being "famous".

Think Dragon know the truth about Alabasta.

The revos most likely have spies in all major countries.

And also the revos could have a link with Koza rebels and got info on what happend in alabasta from them.

Dragon is leaned more towards politics than piracy so him knowing nefertari cobra (added with cobra being the only family staying down after the first great cleansing) makes sense i say
He should know which country is ruled by a tyrant and which ruled by a fair ruler if his purpose is wg losing political power in various contries of the world
Heck i would not be suprisee if he even knew about germa 66 and judge as they engaged in political powers at north blue

For all we know he could give zero fucks to Cobra per see, with Sabo's action being the real deal.
The second in command going crazy and killing can bring up doubts in the organization even if they don't fully believe the news. You know, leaders and their morals are a thing.

Let's not forget about Robin's time with the Revos and how she could share a few things like what happened in Alabasta.

It's about being the symbol of Revolution,
which Dragon was trying to establish for decades.

Who declared war on and triggered worldwide Revolution?

Who is the symbol of Revolution now?

It's Sabo. Kurouma himself admitted Sabo influence have surpassed Dragon. It's natural for Dragon to have some envy

RA's target is only the CDs, not even the Marines... Cobra is not (Nefertari Family excluded themselves since 800 years ago) and they know that he isn't an abusive leader...
