Dragon doesn't have the capacity to lead the likes of big mom kaido wb shiki etc and somehow keep it together

The mere fact that a lone individual was able to lead a crew that had these kinds of players is insane, and to be honest not even Roger could do that, though I will say Having Oden, Ray and Scopper is impressive

So Xebec was obviously on another caliber and needed to be eliminated, hence Roger teaming with Garp, meaning Roger was literally assisting Garling too, to take this mf down

If Xebec played any definitive role, it was the saying "iron sharpens iron" because both Roger and Garp needed a common enemy to bring them to the next level of strength.

It's kind of like kidd and law vs big mom being the dumbed down version of what might have occurred on god valley. If you're a pirate like Roger and you are choosing to ally with celestials and marines to take a common enemy down, that enemy must be mighty indeed.

Xebec definitely had Joyboys level of aura the fact that his bounty is not even revealed suggest to me this man was biggest pirate .

..well...Oden was visiting brothels and engaging in gang warfare at the age of like 6 lol. Maybe this theory's version of Dragon has the same energy.

Plus it does explain why Dragon does nothing but look East, he must have peaked at 11 and now the entire Revolutionary Army is just the result of him having a prolonged midlife crisis.

Dragon is the most wanted criminal in the world. Yes, more wanted than the worlds strongest man, creature, etc. I personally don’t think creating a revolutionary group that directly opposes the world government is enough. I think it’s more than that. They’ve called Dragon a literal demon however we’ve seen the opposite (on screen at least)

Dragon and Xebec both have a similar look based off the silhouette, both have the same hate for celestial dragons, both were seen as demons

Before I go into what I think happened, another reason why I think this would make sense is because we know Blackbeard is clearly inspired by rocks. It would make sense as to why Oda made Blackbeard and the Revs clash in the first place which was super random from a plot standpoint

Something else that had me thinking was the fact that the gods knights seem to be the main villains of this Arc. Dragon stated the real battle begins when the god knights are deployed

We learn that Loki not only knows about who the gods knights are but he was inspired by xebec as a child. What if more gods knights are deployed to elbalf which makes the revs finally move. When Dragon arrives, Loki will be the one to call him xebec?

Lastly, I did a rewatch/reread of the holy land invasion by the revs. When Sabo told dragon and ivankov about the existence of IMU ONLY ivankov reacted to that piece of information. Dragon didn’t react at all. The only thing dragon reacted to was regarding the ancient weapons. That gives me the notion that dragon already knows IMU exists which would make sense giving him the most wanted title

What I think:

Dragon and Xebec are the same person. That would’ve made Dragon 17 years old during god valley. Same age as Luffy when he started his journey. Would also make sense as to why Garp needed help from Roger, it’s because he couldn’t kill his own son.

We know Dragon was a Marine at one point. Maybe he was powerful enough to rise up the ranks, saw something within the marines that made him into the demon we know xebec to be, created a pirate crew to kill the CD and took his mothers surname (rocks?) instead of Garps as a sign of rebellion. We know Garp hates the celestial dragons as well which is why he didn’t become an admiral. Dragon could despise or look down on his father for still serving the marines after all they’ve done (I assume something in their backstory warrants hating celestial dragons)

Dragon as Rocks D Xebec then causes havoc through the world as he was a lot more radical in his younger days. GV happens, group is disbanded, rocks is “killed” but ultimately spared, I assume another tragic situation that happens in between that convinces Dragon to drop the monkey surname entirely and rebrand as just “Dragon” and try a more militant approach

Plot holes:

I think the only plot hole here (and it’s actually a pretty big damn plot hole) is that whitebeard didn’t react much to learning he was dragon’s son. He just smiled although that was the anime so I’d have to reread the chapter on that part

However big mom and kaido didn’t react a special way to luffy either iirc

Possible solutions:

Maybe they genuinely believed he died in GV

Maybe only WB knew he was still alive (since it seems they had the closest relationship) but their relationship soured towards the end so much that they weren’t on speaking terms? Is that why whitebeard values family so much because rocks did not? (At the time)

Is that why dragon would watch over luffy so much and stated that a child is a parents weak spot?
