Current Events Dragon will leave the Revos to save Garp

I think the reason why Dragon never tried to save Ginny, Iva, or Kuma was because unlike Luffy, who lives only for himself, Dragon has dedicated himself to a movement that is greater than himself.

He can’t just recklessly try to save his friends, even if he wants to, because that would endanger the movement. Dragon is the leader after all.

However, what is different now is that unlike before, Dragon has a successor: Sabo.

With Sabo’s newfound fame as the flame emperor, it was stated that his notoriety even rivals that of Dragon.

This makes it the perfect time for Dragon to step aside to save Garp.

We would get development with Sabo becoming leader of the revos, and development with Dragon finally putting the movement aside to save his family.

I doubt that, he still is very invested in the Revos actions. He's their leader and they need his notoriety and strength.
He knows they’re close to all out war, he has to stay with them.

He started the RA like 20 years ago iirc? The idea he would drop the RA who are trying to save all the slaves in Mariejoa and in the world to save 1 guy?

He didn't even try to save Ginny, but you think he will go out of his way to save Kuma... Kuma's not more important than millions of slaves.

Dragon's goal is to save all slaves from underneath the WG's tyranny.

He may have a successor, but it doesn't mean Dragon will throw everything he's built up. He's a massive asset. Still far more important than Sabo, he's the one who gave the orders and made the plans, Sabo's probably not ready for such responsibility.
Sabo is emotional, Dragon does what needs to be done for the greater good, for slaves.

Luffy had no reason to help vivi, to save skypeia, he could have bounced on robin since they didnt even know she was the only one able to read poneglyphs at the time, could have ignored fishman island's plight, could have ignored sanji in WCI... The list goes on.
