Chapter Discussion Drake/Apoo Temporary Alliance

Zero idea what Apoo plans to do or why this angle came up. He was fine for fighting for Kaido even after failing Queen. So he's not afraid for his life here. Does he intend to take treasure or notoriety or something from Kaido?
It needs a good explaining on what Apoo's precise angle is because this is a very vague and nebulous offer.
I do hope X Drake refuses and shows what type of person he is, rather than being sneaky. Ironic due to X Drake's role as a mole for years. But I'd rather see X Drake remain true to his word (and common sense) then join 3 fodder giants and Apoo against... Everyone else.

Like others, I'm not sure what Apoo is trying to gain as fair as "spoils" are concerned unless he's talking about the Poneglyph?? Or just the "glory" of sweeping in to kick everyone else when they're down and worn from war??
Anyway though, like I said before, Drake seems very smart and I don't think he will actually go for an alliance especially considering how difficult it was to gain the favor of some of the SHs who were against him. There is also the fact that Koby painted Luffy as someone who is within reach when close and out of reach when you aren't a friend. He never forgets who his friends are and will basically go pretty far for them. What's more is that Drake knows that the Strawhats (plus Law) have done some crazy things before like liberating Dressrosa by toppling Doflamingo.
Luffy himself also pretty much immediately accepted him so it's like, if he's the kind of guy I think he is, I don't think he'll spit into he face of Luffy by allying with Apoo whose been allied to Kaido for a while.

It was totally random. Looks like Oda is just checking off a check list of items he has. Drake and Apoo story line, check. Oda is running an 8 hour marathon in 5 minutes so he takes short cuts and progresses story lines in unnatural ways, and he now has absolutely no idea how to guide through this mess he created so we are going to continue to see a lot more random events like this.
