In an arc featuring zoans, it makes no sense for Oda not to feature some awakened zoans. I can get the tobi roppo not having it, because they were irrelevant. I can get the calamities not having it, because they have other gimmicks(king's race and queen's science).
But Drake doesn't really have much else, and I don't view him as irrelevant like the rest of the tobi roppo. He's a supernova and I don't see how it makes any sense for him to do nothing this entire war.
If Vegapunk can seemingly create awakened zoans, like in impel down, I feel like it would make a lot of sense if the marines had their own version of the rumble ball, and if Drake had such technology.
Ultimately, if nothing else, I think it would be nice to see an actual strong character with zoan awakening, and for Drake to have some moment to shine this arc,
