General & Others Elbaf = Surpassing Shanks

Since YoNko Saga,
Each major or big Arc serves to set a clear milestone/PL for Luffy to reach or Surpass

WCI --> Surpassing Katakuri & YCs (and warlords). Although he only matched Katakuri in the end
Got a bounty above any og YC and a better status as 5th emperor

Wano --> Surpassing Oden and becoming Yonko level by beating Kaido (weakened). Got 3B bounty

Egghead --> proving that he is above Admirals and Gorosei.
That's why Oda brought 6 top tiers and none could dominate Luffy 1v1 or 3v3 or even 2v1 when he had no top tier help on his side.

Elbaf --> Proving he's truly on Shanks level and Surpassing him.

This is why Giants have been mentioning how Luffy is now on the same level as Shanks
Every villain is tied with Shanks: Loki and Thanks
One lost to Shanks, and the other is his evil brother whom Luffy will have to beat
Luffy is also surpassing Linlin this arc as she's also tied to Elbaf and Giants can't stop mentioning her too

Great Pirates are all on the same level as skyplitters with og Yonko still being better than Luffy & Teach.
Luffy right now is where Shanks was 6 years ago : barely above Oden /Loki /Akainu /Thanks

Thanks will be near 33y.o Shanks (when he became a new Yonko 6 years ago). Which means he's at least ~ Loki
Luffy defeating Thanks(evil Shanks) 1v1
Or Luffy gets to beat Loki (freak of nature) 1v1, a battle on who's truly the True NIKA
At the same time Teach will be beating Shanks elsewhere.

So Luffy proving himself over Loki (freak of nature, aka male Linlin) and Thanks (Figarland, aka evil Shanks) is just another way for Oda to say He's there with Shanks & BM or even stronger. !

After this arc, Luffy will finally get his real bounty : 4B or 4.5B for both Egghead and Elbaf events

LUFFY'S milestones :
WCI : Katakuri, mochi Luffy
Wano : Oden , the Samurai Roger/Luffy
Elbaf : Shanks, Midgen Luffy
Beehive : Roger, old-gen Luffy. the Pirate King
Final war : Joyboy (god tier), the first pirate and saviour. Void-Century Luffy

I think feel like the opposite is about to happen:
- Luffy will finally reach Shanks level this arc via beating Loki.

Oda made Shanks very op by beating him Kid and Loki. The battle against Kid was mentioned by Morgans too. I think both Shanks and Teach about to get New bounties and I think both will have higher bounties than Kaido&Linlin.

Via beating Loki, Luffy will reach and be Shanks lvl.

If Shanks got a new bounty,
It would have been mentioned on newspapers
The thing is that Navy don't know kid met RHP unlike with Law vs BB encounter

Like Luffy didn't get a new bounty despite everything he did at Egghead
So yeah, Shanks getting a new bounty is not guaranteed while with Teach it might happened

Oda is just keeping it
Teach can't get a new bounty before beating Shanks.
If he reached 4.5B or more , then how much will he have after beating Shanks? 5.5B+ ? I fail to see Teach surpass Roger's bounty.

Tbh I think luffy is already overall stronger than shanks but shanks might have an advantage matchup wise

Obviously all these terms are fan made but more or less my opinion on how luffy will grow
  1. Started of commander level against Doffy
  2. Had to surpass that level against Katakuri
  3. Became emperor level against Kaido
  4. Has to surpass that level against idk. Probably making him pirate king level
  5. After that his next major jump is probably gonna be needing to be king of the world level
Going back to shanks
Right now he’s “just” emperor level. Tho I definitely think it’s possible oda gives him a power up of some sort to make him pirate king level. Maybe something related to his family

Luffy has always been a "monkey see, monkey do" person. The things he experienced at Egghead like Shanks' level COC, Warcury's COA, Kizaru/Rob Lucci/Seraphim Techniques, or even immortality might become the ideas for him to imitate. Shanks and Loki are going to be his power up opponent. Not sure is he going to surpass Shanks, but somewhere on par with him might be more reasonable.

Shanks isn't getting any PU
He peaked. He's not eating some df nor getting some massive super op weapon

Anyway,
With Loki having fs and Shamrock being the main vilain of the arc

Luffy beating one of them will be a way for Oda to say Luffy has surpassed Shanks since Shanks is >= Luffy

And luffy has beaten kaido with help, shanks could have beaten Loki with help
So beating Loki / Shamrock 1v1 on top of that is greater feat
