So I wanted to make a quick thread regarding my predictions for the elbaf matchups. I believe that this arc will be the final war for One Piece with all 4 yonko vying for the poneglyphs.

Within this war, there are 3 matchups that are basically set in stone. Battles that have been built up since pre-skip. Those being:

Luffy vs Blackbeard
Shanks vs Blackbeard
Zoro vs Mihawk

I will use this as the basis for my prediction, basing other fights on the assumption that these will happen.

I theorize that in addition to those above 3, we will get:

Sanji vs Kuzan
Jinbei vs Crocodile
Usopp vs Buggy

Kid vs Beckman
Law vs Shiryu
Killer vs Lucky Roo

Sanji vs Kuzan would parallel perfectly with Zoro vs Mihawk, with both of Luffy’s wings getting top tier fights during elbaf.

Jinbei vs Crocodile is a battle of former warlords. The sea vs the desert. It’s a perfect matchup.

Usopp vs Buggy. Battle of frauds. Completes the destruction of Cross Guild.

Kid and Law vs Beckman and Shiryu would allow the two captains to redeem themselves after their defeat, while also taking care of two troublesome foes that oppose the SHs.

Lastly, Killer vs Lucky Roo would not only help Killer redeem himself after his L, it would basically complete the destruction of the RHP. Teach takes out Shanks, Kid takes out Beck, and Killer takes out Roo.

Ultimately, this war will end with the BBP, RHP, and Cross Guild being destroyed. With Luffy being the sole Yonko left standing, he will truly be, the Pirate King

Luffy has a harmless skirmish with Shanks, Usopp with Yasopp, Zoro with Beckmann and so on. Then Blackbeard Pirates and Kid land. Luffy can't help Shanks, he has to go beat up Akainu. Kuzan flips and joins RHP' side. Blackbeard defeats Shanks, Kid beats Kuzan. Wolf beats Saul.

Sanji vs kuzan.
Bro is reaching high.
Even if you put sanji+jinbei+robin vs kuzan.
That would be delusional.
Even if sanji fights admiral it will be atleast 3 arcs after luffy beat akainu

I don't know why but I have a strong feeling that the current battle on Elbaf will expand to Marijoea so here are my matchup predictions:
Luffy v Gunko (*warmup for Garling)
Luffy v Garling - Guardian God of Defense (*If the SHs invade Marijoea, Garling will most likely be tasked with defending it)
Loki v Shamrock - A strong indication that this might happen was Shamrock telling Loki to come find him if he lives
Zoro v Sommers/Kilingham?
Sanji v Sommers/Kilngham?

Only question though is how Oda keeps some of the other power houses like the Gorosei or the Admirals occupied if this invasion happens. Blackbeard for instance I reckon is a possibility as he seems to always somehow take advantage anytime Luffy causes some type of commotion

So apparently you don't know the mechanics of the One Piece Sagas and Arcs and how the New World arcs have a formula and narrative similar to the narratives of equivalent sagas and arcs from pre-TS. The next arc will be similar to Impel Down, inspired by Dante's inferno.

I didn't see the point in some of these fights, I don't see the SH facing pirate crews from now, but ok, I'll pretend, which will have another great confrontation between pirates:

Luffy vs Black Beard:
Zoro Vs the traditional eyepatch pirate
Sanji Vs Kuzan
Yamato vs Shiryu
Jinbei vs Burguess
Robin vs Van Auguer
Franky vs Pizarro

I give up here, these duels make no sense to me.
