Chapter Discussion Elbaf was supposed to be Ussop's arc the arc where he finally becomes stops being a bum and he still has not stoped

#1
In case it was not obvious enough several arcs focus on specific straw hats Wano on Zorro,Wci on Sanji,Fishman Island on Jimbei,Enies Lobby on Robin and the next arc will probably be focused on Nami

Elbaf was supposed to be Ussop's arc the arc where finally stops being a bum and a coward and finally becomes a brave warrior of the sea

That has not happed yet Bumsop is still a bum and a coward

It's likely that Ussop will remain a bum and coward until the end of the series

Fell bad for Ussop fans (all 5 of you still left)

Ok, let's deconstruct that a little:

You are confusing Arcs were the character is central and where they are not. In fishmen Island and Wano, Zoro and Jinbe were not central. These were not "zoro's and Jinbe's arcs". It's important to see the difference because it can avoid creating expectations such as "Elbaf is supposed to be Usopp's arc". No, nothing was prepared for Elbaf to be Usopp's arc. It's an arc about the Giants, Rocks and Imu.

Elbaf was supposed to be Ussop's arc the arc where finally stops being a bum and a coward and finally becomes a brave warrior of the sea
Only in your expectations. That you created on your own. Do not confuse hints that the story would lead to Elbaf and converging plot lines for Usopp on this very place and the idea that Elbaf would be THE Usopp arc. While it still can be the case, it's not "supposed to be".

And here is what I keep talking about @Uncle Van . A very cristal clear demonstration of the way negativity and the lack of reading awareness can create more negativity in a loosely controlled environment like this one. As you can see here, illegitimate expectations is fatally leading toward more negativity. And this is something that happens ALL the time. This is one of the things that must be stopped.

you cant force people to not have negative opinions about clown piece, even if said negative opinion is based on illegitimate expectations.

Like, at best you could argue he is baiting usopp fans

only to force those disliking anything to not voice their opinions?
Nop. That's not what I mean. My goal is to simply allow positivity to get more place, not to shut to negativity. I think I will rework my thread about this. There are things that could be improved and others that are not really relevant or could lead to problems.

Feel free to dictate how people should feel about subjective mediums.

the manga literally had a parallel between usopp and rocks where usopp screaming at domi reversi dory and brogy about their pride as warriors is the same scene as rocks screaming at harald about losing his pride as a warrior. something will happen with him

You should have understood post TS Usopp had nothing to do with pre TS Usopp.

So of course Elbaf wasn't going to be his arc. Maybe he'll show some bravery and you'll think "yes finally", only for him to be a coward next arc.

Oda prefers his gags over characters development.
i think you're just bad at reading tbh

zoro and jinbe actually were pretty central to those arcs, the problem is the illiterate fanbase thinking being a major character means they become The Main Character

Indeed they were important characters, but nothing compared to Hiyori or Momo or the Akazaya. But it pains me because Oda seems to be indeed prepping something for Usopp but most people are missing it because they are too focus on what he is not at the moment lmao

maybe chill with statements like that if you dont want to come across as trying to dictate other peoples opinions?
Dictating would mean forcing people to have certain opinions. That's not my goal. I want to stop the chain reaction of negativity that is currently happening, not the opinions of people. Not through brute force, but through a system change.
