Hey Folks!

I think we will have some kind of dispute in Elbaf which comes from inside, without any real bad guy. But I still think it will be pretty wild.

My guess is, in Elbaf are 2 political parties, which separate mainly with he connection of shanks.

One party, I guess the bigger one, will be shanks supporter, see him as a friend and protector. We have seen some at the arrival of kid in Elbaf. Shanks was there pretty welcome and partying.

On the other hand there is a party of people mistrusting shanks, mainly because of his connection to Garling. And I think in that party is also Loki. Since we didn’t even got a glimpse of him with shanks, which seems weird when shanks is their favorite person.

I am also pretty sure that this conflict kind of escalates when or after the strawhats arrive on Elbaf. And the main trigger will be Garling joining the Gorosei. For the mistruster the danger of garling and in connection shanks raised enormously and so they might think it’s necessary to start some kind of revolution. A big war starts and luffy is in the middle of it. I also can imagine kid being part of the mistrusted.

And here comes why this can be an extremely important and interesting arc. Because there is no real bad guy. Both parties aren’t wrong, both clash of different point of views. How will luffy deal with that dilemma? He won’t fight people which aren’t bad or want something bad, but he still want to protect his friends and the friends of shanks.

This could be a big moral arc, something Luffy needs to think about, something more difficult than just fighting the bad guy.

What do you think about that thought?

Saul already confirmed this in Robin's Flashback
Not All Giants share Elbaf's Beliefs & not all of them come from that Island

And Dorry/Brogy confirmed that all Giants listen to their Ruler "Elbaf" who is also referenced in "Spear of Elbaf", He is basically their Odin.
So the Two Parties are those who follow Elbaf & those who oppose him or at least don't wanna be Part of his Kingdom

Just like previous Kingdoms where We had (Wapol/Dalton, Cobra/Koza, Neptune/Hody, Inu/Neko, Doffy/Kyros, Orochi/Momo ... etc)

It would kind of make sense if there were two factions on Elbaf.

In actual Norse Mythology, there are two main groups of gods. The Aesir, who are the more high-born "sky" gods, where you find your Odins, Thors, and Lokis who are more the "warriors" of the gods. And then there's the Vanir, who are the more "agricultural" or "nature" based gods who are more the "thinkers" of the gods. The war between the two factions is even pretty well known.

So, yeah, plausible.
