In regards to the new emperors, I think that the most obvious candidates after Luffy should be Kid and/or Law, as they did defeat an emperor. At the same time, I can see entirely why Oda wouldn't give them the title, at least not yet. But I have issues with a lot of the other candidates people are proposing, such as buggy, kata, mihawk, ect.
The issue for me is, defeating big mom is a monumental feat, therefore anyone who would become emperor over Kid and Law must have an even greater feat. Which is why buggy, kata, or mihawk don't really make sense to me. What would any of those people have done that would surpass defeating an emperor? Even if buggy were to amass a stronger army, he only has one island, which is the same as what Kid has. And we can be fairly certain kata hasn't been doing shit since WCI.
What could anyone have done that surpasses defeating an emperor? There is one possibility, what if the next emperor got his hands on an ancient weapon? What if the next emperor is tied to the crisis in alabasta? I think that if there is going to be a dark horse candidate for emperor, that candidate should be none other than God eneru

- Strength; given how strong he was pre-skip, he could easily be top tier post skip
- crew; he has an entire army of robots, Oda could also give him Urouge as a commander
- territory; fuck islands, the man has an entire moon
