General & Others Enma, a fire sword?

#1
Enma, the sword of the late Kozuki Oden has now been promised to Zoro

will Enma be the fire sword that Zoro's foreshadowed previously?

While Enma may be named after a Buddhist mythological figure, it is also important to note that "En" translates to blaze. Many other fire based things in Manga and Anime use this prefix e.g. Entei from Pokemon, Enton (Blaze release) in Naruto amongst other examples.

Lastly, this sword is the only thing that has ever scarred Kaidou, right? Well Kaidou's scar looks like this
A burn mark? It looks pretty similar to Luffy's wound from Akainu. What do you guys think?

I think the same, the wound with Kaido has isn´t just a sword cut attack, but it looks like he get also burn.
Would make sense if the sword give the ability to use fire aswell.
I would have had my suspicions if it wasn't for the stylistic similarity and shape as Luffy's. Plus, cut scars in OP are typically depicted as straight lines. This looks like an impact/explosion.

I always thought that Kaidou's scar looks more like a burn than an ordinary sword cut.
If we compare Kaidou's scar with Luffy's, it looks the same, and we know that Luffy was burned by Akainu's lava.

So I would say the chances are high for Enma to be a sword of fire, mainly because Zoro already said he wants to have one.
What's impressive here though is that the burn wound is in a totally different league to Luffy's. Heck, it's much larger in scale than the wounds Sakazuki gave to Whitebeard - at least on the surface!

I would interpret that, if my thinking about Enma is correct, as proof of Oden being far weaker than top tiers (took that for granted anyway) but that Enma's power itself was ludicrous

Yeah i think it is a Fire Sword now ,
Enma = Japanese for "Yama" , a wrathful God that is the Chief of the Dead , and by extension leading Narakas/Hells

Even more that "En" translated to "Blaze"

Enma blazed Kaido ..... what i'm interested to see is if the Enma attack on Kaido is more powerful than other attacks that also have the power of Heat like Akainu's Daifunka

Kizaru's explosive laser

Ace's Dai Enkai Entei

Enel's Raigo

Maybe the Enma attack on Kaido wasn't as big as any of these attacks , and thus capable of inflicting more damage to Environment ,

But i think it could be more lethal/deadly because it was more concentrated than these attacks

Kizaru's laser / light ray was concentrated actually though , but it made a contact with Aokiji's Ice and became explosive

If we’re looking at parts of the word for alternate meanings, shouldn’t the “ma” be considered too? It generally denotes evil or demonic stuff. So maybe it’s a cursed fire sword?

Actually, going by Enma’s title of “god of the underworld”, or more specifically the Narakas, I guess it would kinda fit. But I’m leaning more on Oden having a stronger version of Kin’nemon’s fire techniques.

Something similiar to Zoro's ashura would be dope AF.

Sword + advanced CoA + special technique imo

It takes all this to inflict such damage to such monster
Would make sense, for Kaido you need everything to damage/wound this monster. Someone who don´t even get hurt/scratch by barrage G4 attacks because of his durability. Shows how strong Oden was in the past. Or the sword is really special in that case.
