Makes sense... Also, it can be considered as a "vindication" to what happened to Elizabello II's King Punch which was used only to crush and wipe Pica's golem rubble away because of Zoro... I mean, Zoro asked someone to use an impressive weapon for a less impressive feat, now is his turn...

Enma had some opportunities to cut Kaido in half. If it didn't happened maybe this is not what the sword wants?

Shusui is the sword that never had this opportunity. And guess what? It already cut at least 2 dragons. Another proof Enma was a nerf.

Enma's whole purpose is to give Kaido a scar. It never stated as a tool to take Kaido's head or splits him in half. Black blade is whole another story.
